Unfortunately I had a "close encounter" with a concrete post in a dark parking garage late one night. (No I wasn't drinking, just in a hurry. And the parking spaces were very tight.)

So I'm looking for a "first aid kit" for my Ruby Red 2025 Mav.

I have not had good experience in the past with touch-up paint on other vehicles. The "factory" color, based on the mfg color code, wasn't quite a 100% match.

Where should I look to buy some true 100% color match rouchup paint?

This is the front left bumper area, though the bumper didn't do tis job. )

Yeah, the paint I got in the past from Mitsubishi and Honda dealers weren't the 100% exact match. Close, but not exact.

Just wondering if Ford is any better with touchup paint..

Ford touch of paint should be an exact match to what the vehicle had when it rolled off the assembly line.
How well it matches a vehicle that has been outside in the weather that's a different story.🤷‍♂️

I guarantee 100% that a brush touch-up is going to look terrible. Candy and pearl colors are notoriously hard to touch up ... IIRC somebody here had tried it on red like yours and the result was laughably bad

If I was in your situation I'd consider 2 options: get a custom spray can mixed up and I'd do a spot repair + blend + full bumper clear ... Otherwise I'd do this : https://www.colorxlabs.com/en-ca/products/color-match-wrap-vehicle-wrap-that-matches-oem-paint-color

Watch the video, it looks like a great solution if you don't have the skill or motivation to bust out the sandpaper and spray it

There will always be differences between paint made in different batches, just a fact of life. Not to mention new paint won't have undergone aging from UV exposure like the paint on your truck. If I park next to the newest Maverick with the same paint as mine, it wouldn't be a perfect match either.

I have an Oxford white truck, and I just ordered a paint pen off Amazon.

I got one of these for my wife’s metallic forest green Subaru ascent. And while I could tell it watch touched up the first day, later I could not see it. But these were small scratches.

Her car is only 6 months old so not much UV damage, garage kept most of that. So take it what you will. But for the price it was easy buy. I am sure the ford one is better.

I would get a 2 in 1 touch up pen from Ford. The cheap pens have crappy paint that goes chalky over time. I suggest the OEM paint pen with the paint & sealant included for best DIY results. Contact your local dealership to order.

There is another site online that I have gotten touch up for my daughter's old Porsche. Touch Up Direct. I did order some Oxford white from that site. Matched perfect.

i recently bought a Cactus Gray pen from Ford. it's spot on colorwise. texture is a different matter given the little brush included.

Do your beautiful Maverick some justice and have it repaired ‘properly!’ That there damage is NOT what ‘touch up’ paint was meant for!!! Stone chips, ‘tiny’ scratches, yes. I love, ‘the bumper didn’t do it’s job’ part!! 🤣
