Hey everyone, this is my first post here.

Does the bed top edge have any holes for mounting pickets, cleats, or anything else under the trim piece?

It looks like it’s just a trim piece on top of the bed, but I haven’t pried it off yet. Thought I’d ask here.

I googled quite a bit, but all I could find was the two moveablefactory cleats. I have on the inside of my lariat package.

I was just trying to get some firewood, home and cleats and two sheets of plywood for either side would be just great! Thanks for any and all suggestions!

There are 4 M6 factory bolts along the top to hold the top of the fender, circled in green:

I added the gold colored rivnuts

I used these eye bolts and spacers between the hole and the plastic and some sticky stuff from another install to hold the spacers in place

This holds my Elevate rails and Leer tonneau cover rails in place more securely than the original clamps.

The green lines are the factory m6 bolt locations, the yellow line is the m8 nutsert I added. I drilled that hole before I removed the plastic and found the m6 bolts.

Do those bolts hold the plastic rail topper on?
edited my post. They hold my Elevate rails and Leer cover rails in place. Without those the Elevate rails would lift off the plastic when using ties to hold stuff down on top of my tonneau cover.

Got it.👍 thanks for updating your post with the pictures.
Good picture. I see all the plastic clips on the rail cover.😳

Lots of videos out there with different ideas for hauling firewood on u-tube. I personally just use one of my trailers. It's lower to the ground making it even easier to load and unload. It is also a tilt bed which helps rolling large trunks of trees before splitting. Be careful green wood especially oak can be heavier than you realize.

A gas powered 27 ton splitter did the job, without breaking out in a sweat. Thanks for the compliment. I don't take pictures as often as I should. Unfortunately i didn't think about it until I unloaded the last load. I wished some was in the trailer but after all that work I wasn't about to reload it for just the sake of a picture.

On another note I can't remember which load but I backed the trailer as close as I could to the downed tree. Got out and me and a friend went to work. Loaded it right up, maybe a little more than I should have just to finish. Well I should have taken a picture because walking back to get in the truck the left rear wheel on the truck was in the air. Because of uneven ground, keep in mind it's all sand. I figured what the heck let's try it. Worst case scenario I will start emptying the trailer. Pulled right out pulling that heavy load without spinning that I'm aware of. I was impressed to say the least, that was a heavy load. Again thanks for the compliment or comment.

I have the lariat package with a full pool of options, including the towing package. I don’t think there’s a single option that this truck doesn’t have, as it is a 2022 so it has the windshield wiper heaters and the door keypad.

I like your idea about a trailer, but I’ll probably just get the guy to deliver it for an extra 50 bucks! A trailer around here cost about 2000, so that’s a lot of deliveries of wood :)

I understand but I heat with wood. I go through 9 to 10 face cords a year. I use to use this trailer bringing wood from camp. Now most of it comes off my property. This wood was given to me, I just had to pick it up, well some cutting. So I grabbed the trailer, it's a Sam's 1994 it's paid for itself a long time ago. Or it doesn't owe me anything. May not be the prettiest but it hasn't failed me yet. Here in Michigan trailers have lifetime licenses, it's one and done, probably why I own 5. This one works the best for firewood. Around the farm, loader. SxS, polar trailer ( not plated), even a 4'x6' jet sled behind a snowmobile. Again I like to have seasoned firewood so I have to have a few years banked or stacked for the future.
