I have a 2022 hybrid. Got it in August. I have started using the heated seats in the mornings a bit due to cooler temps. Three times now later in the morning I go to start the truck and it will not start and says something like: Please safely stop vehicle."

I jump the truck and then it goes like normal.

I took it to a Ford place and they tested the battery and it tested normal. I'm not sure what to do besides not using heated seats, but it would be a nice feature to use especially when I'm clearing snow in the winter.

Thanks in advance for any advice or knowledge on this.

Zach,
If you have a cell phone, try and take a picture of the message being displayed and post it here. It may help more than trying to describe it.

I don't even have a hybrid, but have been around long enough to say that more than likely the dealer is incorrect, and it *IS* your battery.

Are you on the original OEM battery? Is your battery an AGM?

If you do a forum search for hybrid battery / deep sleep issues you will find more solutions that undoubtedly apply to what you are seeing. Probably nothing to do with the seats themselves, but it's just that they are a significant resistive heat load. Usually the solution is a new, better, AGM battery.

Ford does not make an AGM battery for the hybrid. You can search the forums for some recommendations. The current 12 volt battery in the hybrid Maverick is worthless.

Ha. Guess I don't pay close enough attention to have known that. :) Edited my post to be less misleading. Thankfully, the Motorcraft in my EB actually is an AGM...

I don't have heated seats, but I do have a Hybrid with the OEM flooded lead-acid battery. No battery or other problems with the truck.

I do connect a NOCO battery maintainer to the 12v jump points under the hood, whenever I won't be driving the truck for a few days. I have done this on previous non-hybrid vehicles I've owned in the past, to ensure a long battery lifetime.

The dealer is clueless. It’s likely the battery.

Are the seat heaters factory or aftermarket? If AM they were likely wired to a non-switched circuit. I made sure mine were wired correctly because the switch is a three position switch (low-off-hi) so if not switched to off you keep heating an empty seat. I guess the same could happen if the factory screws up. One way to find out… go out to the truck and switch on the switch with out putting the key in.

I use my seat heaters (and steering wheel heater) daily during the winter and have never had a problem. My original battery was replaced under warranty in Feb 2023 after a parking brake motor started causing a draw (broken wire due to squirrels). It went into deep sleep while sitting for 2 months but the battery is still holding a charge when active. I'd have it retested.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

I'm getting my 25 with heated seats. God I hope yours is an isolated incident. Sorry for what you're going through. 😢

I kept getting messages that my remote features had been disabled to conserve battery life. The dealer put in a new battery. We’ll see if that fixes the issue.

Am i the only one who charges their 12v whenever I get the "remote features had been disabled to conserve battery life"? Happens only in the winter when its deadly cold outside

My wife uses the heated seats and the steering wheel almost every time she gets in the Maverick once the temperature drops below 40 degrees F. Not once have we had to charge the battery.
