I went with x4s because you can open and close the tailgate without lifting the cover unlike the sentry ct. Also while both covers have a matte finish the x4s is vinyl and sentry ct is fabric. I saw some videos of a couple year old sentry ct that had faded quite a bit. My hope is the vinyl will hold up better over time, but that might not be the case. Those who went with the X4s, what made you choose it over the Truxedo Sentry CT?
Looks nice any issues or suggestions for putting one on you can think of? 28 would be a heat wave its 7 here currently but luckily mine has been stuck in Missouri since the 8th so I don't have to worry yet.
Looks great! Nice addition to your truck. Personally, I prefer the fold back version, but could not find it from BAK people, so I ordered from another vendor on Amazon. Unfortunately, not in stock. Thanks for posting ... I'll check BAK's website to see if they have what I want.Received and installed today, 28° but I didn’t care After waiting three months
The X4 also has a 5 year warrantyI went with x4s because you can open and close the tailgate without lifting the cover unlike the sentry ct. It rained pretty hard when it was on the 30s Monday here inside appeared dry the only place water fell in was where it came off the tailgate when I opened the tailgate. One issue though we went back to near 0 at night and it's currently held closed along both sides from ice. It pops free at the tailgate but I don't dare yank up any harder to try and free it where I don't need anything in there. Can you tell us how good or bad it keeps out water?
I'd like to weigh in on this. I had a BAK on my Chevy Colorado and it did very well in keeping out the water in a rain or after running it through the car wash. BAK provides drainage tubes to pass water out of the bed. They did the job nicely, but you will get some dampness and perhaps a small puddle in a dip or two. I think if you keep your gear off those lower dips in the bed, you'll be alright. Can you tell us how good or bad it keeps out water?
I second this - it’d be great to know how far the rolled up cover sits off the rear glass.OP: can you let us know the rolled up dimensions? How much taller it is and how much it sticks out?
I want to get this cover but also carry dirt bikes in the bed and want to see if the clearance is good.
How's the visibility out of the back window when it is rolled up?Received and installed today, 28° but I didn’t care After waiting three months
X4S doesn't have drain tubes the hard tri fold would. It probably would have been good if it did may have prevented my frozen rails.I'd like to weigh in on this.
