If you read this on someone else post,
My mistake!
I have a 2024 XLT AWD. The truck currently has about 14000 miles. This freezing rear view camera issue started around 6-7000 miles ago. I ended up backing up into a trailer thinking that I had a bit more time to go while the camera had frozen in time and damaged the rear bumper and scratched the passenger side rear fender. I have a 2020 pp2 mustang, the quality of the camera compare to the one in the Maverick is day and night. It is flawless in the mustang. I thought purchasing the 360 technology package would have been as good as the one in the mustang, I guess not. I called Ford after it happened to report the incident, but at the time they didn’t have any recall as yet. I did create a ticket for incident.
Now, my question is who pays for the damage?
Ford suggested that I called my insurance company and have them fix the truck and the insurance company can contact them after all in the event of a recall.
Any advice would greatly appreciate!
