Backup camera. Ford needs to have a select on function.

I would love Ford to update software/hardware to allow you to see backup camera while driving forward. Would be great if you had the back window blocked or if you were towing to monitor the trailer. I tow a log splitter sometimes. You cannot see it. I am sure I am not the first one to mention this.

Totally agree....with all the rear end collisions it would be convenient to see your rear. I do this at red lights, rotate the gear shifter to Park or Reverse, then flip it back to Drive and that shows the rear view until you accelerate forward. So many rear end hits in the Maverick at red lights it would be a safety help. I would bet the rear camera view could be an easy software change. Don't need a long distance of rear view....just a 100 feet of view would help.

All my company trucks have an added rear view camera, and it really helps safety when stopping and changing lanes.

Agree as well. My F150 can do that and I use it all the time.

this feature is present in the 2025 Lariat, Lobo 702A and Tremor. in a Maverick it requires the 360 cameras and these 3 models have it.

button that looks like a video camera. push it repeatedly to cycle through views. (edit: someone showed that it's actually a sub-menu, not multi press.) I believe they are front bumper, 360 birds eye, and trailer. if it's anything like my bronco (which it might not be), front bumper is limited to like 10-15 mph. it's intended for rock crawling and super low speed offroad.

trailer view can definitely stay on at highway speeds. in that thread Glen linked, people have done it.

That is so weird that they did not put it at least on my 2024 Lariat as an option.

it is not weird. the 22-24 do not have 360 cameras or forward parking sensors, and the 25 does.

I own a 22 lariat lux.

The rear view camera on the 22-24 Mavericks simply is not good enough to display a usable image at speed. Frame rate and resolution are not capable so there is no reason to enable it. Also it would not provide visibility above your trailer you would be staring right at it.

In the 2025s I give Ford credit, I find the camera quality on par with that of my Model 3 but the feature itself is a gimmick and not helpful at speed on the road.

Sitting in traffic messing with the options. They all work while driving.
They all only work when stopped or going less than 10mph as @colinl pointed out. When it motion it is side view and rear view.

The camera in there now is just fine, it doesn't need to be a 360 camera, it's strictly a software setting, logic in the car is... Car_In_reverse_mode? Yes? then switch_to_camera_input

It's ford marketing that doesn't push for this ..... Maybe in a future update

It’s really not fine. I mean hell it is grainy and freezes at 2-3mph. Imagine trying to process images at 10-20x that speed. It doesn’t have the frame rate or resolution to be remotely useful at speed.

This definitely won’t be a feature that backports to the 22-24s
