Anybody want to help Camera Source research a backup camera replacement?

I contacted the nice folks at Camera Source to ask if they offered an upgrade camera for the Maverick. They said no, but they'd be happy to do some research on camera upgrades if they could have a little information. My Maverick won't arrive till September, so I'm wondering if anyone is interested enough to provide the requested information...


Unfortunately we do not have a replacement camera for a Maverick. Maybe we can look into coming up with something for you though. Can you send me your VIN? Any pictures of the camera connector at the tailgate or the connector under the truck behind the bumper would be helpful as well.

just find a way to put the Bronco sport camera in it. the badlands atleast i can confirm is much clearer.

We offer replacement cameras with a harness that plugs directly into your OE tailgate harness up above the spare tire, but these are usually used when someone has removed the tailgate altogether for towing, added a topper/camper shell, or when something like a swing-out tire carrier is being used that blocks a rear camera's view. The problem with an upgrade is that the video signal is analog and there's only so much image quality you can squeeze out of that versus the LVDS cameras a lot of trucks are coming with nowadays that they incorporate into the 360-degree surround-view camera systems.
