I'm curious if it makes sense to modify the tremor too much or you might mess up the ride quality and balance. Wouldn't it have been better to get an fx4 if you planned on modifying suspension?

I could be wrong
Not for those of us who wanted the bigger shafts and “locking” axle.

That is perfect. I am 100% putting mud tires on ours too after the falkens wear down. Was thinking 245/70r17 Maxxis Bighorns but this is pretty much 1000% perfect!

The inside of the fender wells is some soft fabric type material and, yes there is a tiny rub while in reverse and fully cranked. My 4runner did the same and after the tires had a few months of wear on them, they never rubbed. So, this is effectively "does't rub"
if you can rub it while reversing on flat ground, I would say that any number of situations where the suspension is loaded that it would rub. Cornering, braking, accelerating hard, 4 adults in the truck, 1,000 pounds of mulch in the bed.

It will rub.

Also kind of curious what led you to the Nomad Grappler. It's considerably less capable offroad than the Wildpeak AT3W you had stock. It's a tire made for a little bit of snow or ice, gravel roads, and the rest dry pavement.

yes please. I was debating bigger tires at stock height or a lift and BIG tires. That made up my mind.

Also kind of curious what led you to the Nomad Grappler. It's considerably less capable offroad than the Wildpeak AT3W you had stock. It's a tire made for a little bit of snow or ice, gravel roads, and the rest dry pavement.
I biased towards handicapping the offroad capability for the quieter ride and better road driving. I value the approach angle, suspension, and clearance of the Tremor... (not to mention that I really, really wanted Avalanche Grey), but I don't off road a ton. Just a preference. I knew I was downgrading on offroad capability. Boise gets exactly that "A little bit of snow and ice"

I am liking how this looks. The Tremor added 1" suspension lift and the tires added another 3/4" inch. Trying to decide if I also add the the 4WP coil spring lift which would be another 1" up front and 3/4" in the rear. Whatcha think? I want it to feel proportional, and I think if I go too high it won't feel proportional.

That looks great. Is this with the stock Tremor lift? Or aftermarket lift?
I found these on a FB maverick group, he’s running a 2” rough country lift with Yokohama mudders 255/75r17 and getting 21mpg average, minor trimming was done.

To each their own, but I'm not a fan of the REALLY oversize tire look on a Maverick...or any truck for that matter. I think scale & balance rule the day.

But hey, not my truck, not my money, so it's all good. 🤠

That is the definition of scale and balance! It looks exactly like a off road truck. Every other maverick even the Tremor look like and on road truck. The Tremor itself is a bit of a sport adventure look. But on 31" or 32" tires make it into a real tough truck. The Tremor should have come with 31s and I think it will eventually as a option.

Yeah I have created my own problem. Added flares and flaps to keep the tires from throwing stuff up the side of the truck. Those now make the wheels/tires look extra too small. So a lift and bigger tires, and I will be back in proportion…throwing stuff up the side of the truck.

Yeah I have created my own problem. Added flares and flaps to keep the tires from throwing stuff up the side of the truck. Those now make the wheels/tires look extra too small. So a lift and bigger tires, and I will be back in proportion…throwing stuff up the side of the truck.
As long as the flares do their job they dont change anything for me, unless they have ficticous pockets in them. This guy has flare.
