Very nice. Dealership where you bought Maverick did the lift? Affect warranty at all?
kind of, the dealership has a an ancillary shop specifically for aftermarket stuff. so it was at the dealership and arranged through the dealership and part of the loan… but technically i don’t think it was fine “by ford”

i asked a lot of questions and they assured me it wouldn’t affect my a
warranty at all.

that said i’m not sure if the cv axles wore out though that ford might try to deny it. HOWEVER, I have a really good relationship with this particular dealership and I am very confident that if something did happen, they would honor the warranty even if ford didn’t.

Well, I can tell you that I paid $520 for four new Cooper Discoverer ATs at Walmart in size 245/65/17. But I was able to sell my stock tires on FB Marketplace for $400. So, really it only cost me a little over 100 bucks to upgrade the tires and go two sizes larger. I'll take that as a win!
How do you like the Walmart Cooper Discoverer AT tires?...i am about to buy a 245/65/17 set to go on my '22 FX4 Mav and cant decide between the Coopers and Falken Rubitreks or AT3s. The Coopers are much closer to the weight of the crap stock FX4 Pirelis at 32lbs.

I only have a few hundred miles on them so far, but I am very satisfied with the Coopers. They look good, ride well and you can't beat the price. Although they are a Walmart-specific model, I honestly don't see much difference between them and what Cooper has listed on their website for the "regular" Discoverers available everywhere else.

One tip for anyone upsizing the tires: I did not realize this, but when you go to larger-than-stock tires with greater load ratings, you don't inflate your tires to the factory spec listed on the door panel. I initially had the 245/65/17 Coopers at 35 psi and the ride was a little stiff. However, I discovered on tiresize.com a calculator that figures the proper inflation from stock tire size to your current size based on load rating. The 245s are properly inflated for the Maverick at 30 psi, and it does make a noticeable improvement in ride quality.

Hi Tim. Like the pics of your lift. I have the exact same truck,Cactus Grey, 4K tow pkg. FX4 off road. I am having a 2” lift kit installed on Monday. Looking forward to see how it handles. Again tks for the pics. Will send my pics when the truck is done.
nice! i think if i were to do it all again i might go one size down on the tires. i like the height but the clearance is so tight that i makes me a little nervous

Hi Tim. The lift kit has been installed. I am looking at some 245/70/17 AT tires from Canadian Tire. They are the motormaster eliminator tires. Just a side note, I will be buying 5 of them so that if something should happen too one of the tire/wheels I will have the exact same spare. This is important so as you do not have a different wheel to install if a wheel emergency should arrive. I have the Aeroskin bug deflector/ aeroskin window vent covers/ Ford mudflats and I am debating whether I will purchase the Bushwacker skirts. I definitely like the look of your beast.

Hi Tim. Should also mention I had a Tonneau cover installed and I bought Ford seat covers for the front seats.

I had the 235/65/17 Cooper Discoverer AT3s installed a week ago and I am really impressed with them. They are a very comfortable ride.I did not detect any harsh road noise. Now it is just a wait until spring arrives to finish up my mods.

I just went out and measured my truck with the 2” lift kit and 235/65/17 ATS and the is a 1.5” lift over the rear tires and the rear bumper is up 4” from the previous 12” standard height.

This is my Mav. With the 3”lift. Also my engine cover that I purchased from Ford. As you can see, it is the one that was for the Lincoln. I added the Ford Emblem that I picked up at a wrecking yard.

Correction on the lift kit. It is only a 2” lift. Finger problem.
