If you turn off your truck with auto stop brake button on it will be on when you start your truck again .Is this intended ? Also why didn’t they do this with the auto and stop feature ? They are literally right next to each other.

That's a very good question. They both should operate the same way. Memorize the last setting or an option in the menu to be set.

BRAKE not BREAK

It is really annoying to see brake misspelled a lot on these forums and is especially annoying in the title line.

Auto Start/Stop is a climate/environment feature (reduces emissions), so it functions differently than break hold. Ford intentionally programmed these features differently.
Ok thanks for the clarification !

My starter would like to have a word with Ford lol. Either way its second nature now to shut it off when I start the truck.

Yes it reduces emissions and I understand that. Since it can be turned on/off manually it should be also programable as well. IMO. I like the brake hold function in city driving, it's like a cruise control for stop lights.

This feature has been around for about 5 years. You can't defeat it with out an aftermarket "hack". You can turn it off but the next time you start the enjoy, you will have to turn it off again. We installed the "hack" mention on this forum in our F-150 and it works like a charm.

The brake hold function is pretty sweet . I tried it out today since my first time using that feature in a truck or a car.

The tree huggers can kiss my tailgate! I will disable that in the first week of ownership.

It is programmed that way on most manufacturers

I'm pretty sure that "tree huggers" aren't the only ones who prefer breathing clean air. Cities and countries without smog regulations aren't a lot of fun...
