Despite what the video says at the end its hard to believe that so many extra start/stop cycles can be good for the engine as a whole.That's what I meant. More beneficial for the consumer and their fuel economy.
Fords engineers have the numbers to backup their decisions, but I want to know what the company believes is important. Fuel economy or long term reliability?
My guess is that ford makes more money from marketing high fuel economy and selling engine repairs than it does from vague reliability claims.
That suits me just fine as I'll probably sell the truck before it is an issue, but someone who wants to keep the vehicle for 200k miles might have a different opinion.
