I got the dealer to add and install mine. They help to an extent and knock down the more damaging gravel and stones on regular paved roads. I do not go off road, so I do not know how much effect they would have on copious mud, sand and sludge.

I applied a rocker panel guard. Protects the whole area and looks sharp.
What sort of rocker panel guard do you put on a vehicle that already has thick plastic covering the rocker panels?

Soon as they realized we’d pay for mud flaps they became an accessory.
Welcome to the New Way to make a profit.
Yes, because installing them by default and simply raising the price of a $25,000 truck by $100 is the realm of madmen!

Funny to come across this, as I literally put these on like 45 minutes ago:

Normally I would't get mudflaps (I never have with any of my previous trucks), however, with my Tremor, I just got it thoroughly cleaned the other day and noticed I had to re-clean my sides because of the tire stuff (didn't realize it was put on at the car wash) flinging along the sides.

And, for 30 bucks, it was a no-brainer. Install was easy and they seem like great quality.

I also love the fact that they do not touch/rub the paint.

Time will tell, but these seem like solid mudflaps with pretty good reviews.

(Oh and if you do get the ones that I linked, REUSE the stock clips. That was something I read in the reviews, and now I know why people said to reuse them.)

Cheers!

But !
Raising the price of a $25,000 truck by $100 will go mostly unnoticed. Then they, them get to make another $100 on top if that selling mud flaps.
Genius madmen I say !

The front looks pretty crooked
Hopefully they didn't come like that
That’s the shadows and reflections from the opposite side of the truck. They are straight. I’m kind of OCD about things like that.

Necessary no, but they do reduce the dirt that gets on your doors and rear fenders.
Bought mine at the Ford Parts Counter.
Still in bags in the rear floor boards.
I’m just too busy to put them on.

Go lay down under the rear driver side of your truck behind the back wheel. You will see all the wires and everything else up there because there is no protection there. You will see a panel under the passenger side. Mudflaps will help to keep it clean until you install something there. Mabett makes a good mudflap and a good panel to put behind that wheel.

I have had these on my truck for a year and a half. They are very effective and are holding up great.
