The Hermosillo plant won highest quality (out of all Ford plants) just before Maverick production started.
Wonder which plant won the worst quality award? My bet is they will never tell.

I bought a 2022 Hybrid used. 28k when I bought it. I love this little truck. I commute 45 minutes each way daily and between the gas mileage, how easy and fun it is to drive and the the practical use I get as a delivery vehicle, it really works for me. But I just had both CV axles replaced an 40 k miles and 3 recalls done. All at Fords expense but this car will be out of warranty in 10k. Are Mavericks just not well built and should I get rid of it before it goes out af drive train warranty? Curious to see other owners responses. I know on forums you always hear the bad stuff, but it seems to be a little worse for the Maverick.
Buy an extended warranty.
I did.

Pretty darn reliable for me, three times.

With all the recalls, high and low speed trickery, I'd do it again. I have pushed 🫸🏾hard and fast and still haven't been left on the side of the road.
51,700 miles in sixteen months on my hybrid
9400 miles in seven month on my first Tremor
9900 miles in seven month on my second Tremor.

Hands down I'd buy another one again, without mark-ups, or add ons, or any other forced dealer cacameme. All brands right now are making junk. It's not the origin of where its made that makes a difference anymore. It the bean counters, they have taken make it cheap to a whole new level.

Even Toyota and Nissan have made some bad moves and some junk. Keep your head up. If it helps caredge.com has extended warranty plans that aren't a rip off if your worried about longevity.

Keep it straight going down the road.

There is a serious problem with CV joints on these hybrids. Anyone planning to keep it past warranty expiration should start boning up now on the shade tree replacement procedure.

Any of you cool-kid Youtubers who have an ounce of sense, will make a video showing the procedure now. Whoever does it and does it *right* - will have an evergreen video for all time. Because it is destined to be a video in high demand...

My best vehicle was a 2008 Saturn Vue assembled in Mexico. I am not sure what year you had but the 2008 was first year for the Opel copy cat model refresh. I sold it a few weeks ago and the woman who bought could not be happier.
Mine was a first year Vue. I believe it was a 2001.

If your in a nice little Maverick, it just may have been made by Mexicans.
If your eating good chips and salsa, they just may have been made by..
If you started with a smooth Margarita, it could have been made by..
If you took a vacation on the beach it was possibly in Mexico
If you're in a new house, a good part of it just may have been made by..
and If you are me, you were definitely made by Mexicans.

How long is the warranty on the hybrid cv joints? My lemons were a 86 Dodge Caravan and 96 Sebring Convertible. No more chrysler/daimler/fiat/stellantis for me.

I just got my Maverick this week because I need something now and I've always liked them. But I will trade it in for the first small fully electric pickup that comes along. Ford skunkworks is supposedly working on one, and chevy showed a prototype to Auto Weekly but now have dropped it.

I got a 2024 XLT and it is a very good truck for what I need and the price was decent. There are a lot of features that are just so nice coming from a 2005 truck that I owned and traded in. As for being a lemon there is a lemon law in Texas and that was mentioned at signing so that is covered I guess.

Also I did get the extra ford warranty so I am covered there. Recalls for software updates as mentioned before in some posts it seems you cannot get a car/truck that is old school anymore and will just be a fact of life. I can afford a hour or two now and then to get a fix and as long as everything else goes smoothly I am fine.

So overall I am a happy camper so far and really like my truck and features. As far as being made in Mexico that is a non issue for me as many cars/trucks are made there now.

Just my 2 cents.......

Well, it's a Ford, it's made in Mexico, it's cheap. Strike one, strike two, strike three.
I bought mine because it was new, different, fun. When, not if, it turns into a turd, I will flush it and get another Toyota.
actually being built in mexico has no bearing on it's build quality......i've actually worked at the hermosillo plant and thier build quality and personnel are good.....

Propose ‘made in Mexico’ is not a reason for the recalls issued by FoMoCo. Note recalls are centered mostly upon software issues. Durability of various components are dependent upon engineering specifications set by Ford.

I was thinking the same thing. I would think that the build quality would maybe even be better since the competition for jobs there is probably higher, leading people to bring their a game.
