Apply Exterior Accessories before Ceramic Coating?

Total newbie question, I‘m sure. I’ve been planning to have my Maverick’s paint ceramic coated. I’ve also purchased exterior add-ons such as tailgate letters and the Lund aero skin hood protector, both of which attach via 3M tape. I’ve been waiting to put them on the truck until after it is ceramic coated, but is that the wrong approach? Will the smoothness of the coating keep the tape from sticking securely?

I would do it before you coat it. Everything will stick better and they will actually protect the paint underneath.

Any stick-on accessories, decals, etc. need to be installed prior to ceramic coat.

Always before. What service will the coating do for you if it’s covered up? The coating is designed to make it hard for things to stick to it. I would think you will have a hard time getting the 3M to adhere well enough to last for very long. And when that coating wears, so will your adhesion. I’ve witnessed this first hand.
