First, love the maverick, wife don't. There feel better.
Next, I read through the entire manual, and I have a slight issue with blis and 360.
Nothing beeps, or alerts. I get the indicator light on the mirrors, and I set up more aggressive Kane assist, that works and corrects the steering..
But there is no beeping, even in reverse, I have no audible beeping when a wall or whatever, is close.

Is there something I have missed?

I don’t know if this helps but I noticed on my trip yesterday that if my radio was on I didn’t hear any beeping or alerts. I did get messages on my instrument panel though.

There is no beep given, only the illuminated icons in the mirrors for the blind spot alerts. There is no beeping when backing unless you have a Lux package to detect objects. Hybrids beep when backing but that is only to alert pedestrians of an electric vehicle approaching.

Hmm what's the point of having sensors if not audible. Every vehicle I've ridden in that has basic sensors, beep.
Is there a way to make that happen?

Might have went with the lux package then. Darn

The rear parking sensors are Lariat Luxury only. Not on XLT regardless.

Also, this is all normal behavior for the truck but I don't understand why some companies don't have BLIS beeps. Does the truck beep for cross traffic alert? I get it, you're supposed to use your mirrors.. but a beep for BLIS/RCTA would be an extra layer. Our Hyundai/Genesis/Kia/Mercedes products have all had beeps. Our Toyota/Porsche/Volvo products have all be silent.

Wait, your wife is in the vehicle, and you don't get audible alerts when driving? Consider yourself lucky!

Yeah, there need to be an option to silence the wife. I get reverse inhale noises and unauthorized remote lane changes when another vehicle is beside me. Irritating and dangerous.

I'm glad to hear about the lack of audible alerts. When I drive my Dad's Forester, I am often startled by all the beeps and screen alerts that keep happening. Each time I glance at the info screen to see what's going on. Add to that, I've had emergency braking take over when it thinks I'm going to crash on three different occasions. It makes for a nervy drive when ever I shuttle my father around.

I admit there is a modern tech learning curve I need to overcome as I've been driving an '02 Civic for the last 20 years. But I've been accident free for those 20 years and it just seems to me that all the onboard nannies can be distracting for already attentive drivers. With the Maverick, I'm expecting I'll be able fine-tune the settings until the aids are minimally intrusive, and adapt as a driver in a modern car.

This is RCTA.. I thought the earlier posts about beeping while in reverse had to do with parking sensors, which is a Lariat Lux item. RCTA is part of CoPilot on all trims. Good to know at least that makes an alert noise.

Yes I was referring to backing up with beeping as you get closer. Like backing into my garage, that would be helpful.

This is wrong, with Co-Pilot360 Cross-Traffic will warn you with an loud alert sound and show in both the mirror and the backup camera view which way the cross-traffic is coming from.

We have an XLT with Lux and 360 and the only time it beeps when in reverse is when the object is moving. Like backing out of a parking spot and another vehicle is driving by or a pedestrian is walking behind you. It does not detect stationary objects such as other parked vehicles, walls, posts, ect.

I wish it had more audible beeps too. You get the RCTA audible alert and you will get a hands off the wheel alert too which I assume is driver alert mode. I haven't had the Pre-collision assist come on luckily, but that is supposed to have an audible alert.

But I wish the blindspot with turn signal on had something audbile, I know that's the flashing instead of steady light in the mirror. Lane assist you get the light and feel it in the wheel, so sound is not as needed there but maybe nice. On the flip side definitely don't want a beep everytime someone is in my blindspot, but knowing I'm trying to turn into someone there, it might be nice to have more than a blinking light then.
