I'll admit that's slightly better than the normal fart can rice burner sound. Certainly not a liking to my ears, a V8 is the only thing that's worth the effort and expense for a true tuff/muscle tone imo. I would imagine the drone in the cabin cruising down the road is quite elevated. But hey, different strokes for different folks, if ya like it, have at it. Have fun!!

IMO, these ecoboost sound best if you can't hear them at all. I don't like drone or fart can. They don't rev high enough to get a proper 4-cylinder scream. Just keep it stock unless you are trying to drag it. Otherwise, you will just annoy people. No-one will ever say Damn, that sounds great.

That’s why I installed the cutout. My old truck with a full 3 inch exhaust was annoying and I’m too old to drive around making fart can noises. I’ll eventually build a 3 inch catback with a cutout muffler but for now this will do.

When someone finally makes a 3" catback for the Maverick that's hush-hush on decibels and/or successfully just adds a little bit of pleasant grunt without the drone and obnoxious pitch while on the throttle, please let me know. Otherwise I can't bring myself to upgrade anything past the downpipe. I love these Ecoboost motors but I can't stand how they sound with 99% of the aftermarket catback exhausts.
