As someone who owns a winch and uses it atleast every couple weeks for this or that and offroads nearly every day and used to go really hardcore offroad regularly back home in Ohio. This truck while more capable than a subaru and others. Im just not sure this is the type of truck that if you cet stuck in it that you want to go forward. Where the trail may be worse and worse. If there is a log or something in the way. Turn around and winch it out of the way from the rear hitch. Or hook it up to your front hooks and pull against a tree behind you. Alot of times getting stuck is just a matter of the wrong line. Instead of pulling yourself through the worst of it. Pull yourself backwards and take a different line. Or use your saw to chop some wood to fill holes or go back and stack rocks to make it through. However we are pushing the capabilities of what you should be putting a unibody with about 6" of suspension travel through. I will take mine offroad for sure. But I wont be using like I use my solid axle comanche. This is a must have if you're doing any kind of off-road driving. I've discovered the winch is useful for removing dead tress and the like from the road rather than moving your vehicle.
Hopefully, for the off-road people, this can be installed without too much trouble.
