Anyone have a dealer try to buy out their ordered truck?

Not sure if this even happens, but since some dealers are marking up trucks by $5000-7000-10000 just wondering if anyone has had a dealer try to buy them out when their truck arrived.

As in - "I'll give you $3000 cash and you can place a new order if you let us sell your truck?"

Seems like with all the shortages some dealer is bound to do this at some point.

If a dealer offered me $5K and I had to wait another 6 months I might go fo it

I'm pretty sure I read that happened on a drop ship order from PA to FL. But the dealer offered the guy MSRP.

I'm the same as you. Offer me $5,000 I might take you up on that as I don't need the truck. I want it.

I feel the same as you. Don't need it.
Only problem NOW is they are running out of 2022 trucks to build. If it's going to happen, it better be soon. Otherwise you'll be waiting for the 2023 models.

You would 100% need to have a signed purchase order at MSRP in hand for this to happen. Otherwise the dealer might just pull the sudden markup trick like we've seen on the Broncos.
