Anyone have any luck selling their Mav on this forum?

I just received the email from Ford that my 23 will be built. I have a 22 XLT Hybrid with Lux pkg with about 5500 miles that I will need to sell or trade. Truck has been flawless but I was able to get a Lariat. The plan was to keep the 23 for my wife but she prefers an SUV to a truck so I will keep the 23 and move on from the 22.

Truck will sell here, Carvana, Carmax! But you will get a bunch of people here complain about ever selling a Maverick! And making money will get your name trashed for a while! But sold my first Hybrid after a health issue. Have my 23 ecoboost AWD and very happy. Make some cash move on!

The problem with selling on forums, or Ebay, is most people need financing which will take time. The best way to sell fast is with Carvana, or Carmax ,Vroom etc. They can payoff a loan, and sent you the difference with a check when they pick up the truck. I had no problem with Carmax. (I only called them, and was happy with there offer)

Get a quote from one of the online quick buy companies and compare it to what the dealer is offering for a trade-in. Much easier trading-in in my opinion and it might be worth it to just trade it in depending on your tolerance going through the selling process.

I sold my 22 XL Hybrid to a MTC forum member.

The member who bought mine responded to someone who advertised a hybrid Maverick on MTC for $10K over the MSRP. The member who bought mine countered the seller with a $5K markup which the seller rejected.

I reached out to him and said I would sell mine for the $5K markup if he were interested. I already decided to sell it to get an EB AWD Maverick. The buyer had to finance it through a credit union. The process would have been easy if the credit union knew how to buy from a private party -- yet, they didn't. As a consequence, I had to hand-hold them through the process.

Currently, the 23 XLT EB AWD is for sale here on MTC. I am happy to work with potential buyers from MTC, and I do not plan on offering it to Carvana, CarMax, etc., at this time.

If you can be patient and ignore the chirpers, I am sure the right MTC person will come along and buy your Maverick at a mutually acceptable price. Give the MTC members a chance.
