I have a question for you.
When you are out in public say for instance in a store parking lot.
And a young child were to be behind your truck.
Using just your mirrors.
How many feet do you feel you would need to see a young child standing behind your truck?

glenn,i didn’t say i wouldn’t get it fixed ,which i would but some people seem to think its a must have first thing in the morning!yes,it definitely needs to be fixed but not but so quickly.and when do go into town i check my surroundings when i leave .last thing i want to do is back into someone.sorry if it kinda sounded the wrong way but safety to others is always important when driving.

Mine is causing no issues, and honestly a little sticking/lag, if it ever does crop up, will not bother me as I do not totally depend on the camera. I really do not want dealer techs messing with my Maverick. Lol.
Nope. Recall has been performed on every single Maverick.
Except mine.

Well I don't rely on it heavily I do like to have it when parallel parking or backing into my garage.

I just haven't rushed to do it just to see what others post if it's an actual fix or a Band-Aid. As I've had it freeze one time and I've got the message that it was unavailable twice even though it worked two out of the three times.

My next rain day or when the dealer has availability in the evening I will swing by to get it done I just hate knowing it's probably going to take 2 hours of my time sitting at the dealership waiting for it to be done.

It would be great if I could get them to come to my house for the update via have to waste 2 hours sitting at the dealership, at least at my house I could be relaxing or getting something done I want to do.

Don't know on your area but on mine they come here and do maintenance and updates, the person is pretty handy and definitely knows his stuff. Give them a call.

The backup cam has been flawless and I have a wolfbox rear view camera with a wide angle. I can see everything back there. I have 2 recalls open but I'm letting it ride. So yeah, avoid. Besides, the dealer balked and didn't do the recall during the oil change, even though I requested to have the recalls done in advance.

According to the letter I got today, it’s a software update, so they shouldn’t have to dismantle the dash or an else.

I think I’ll see if they can do all the software updates and the battery inspection one of these days.

Those of us that have updated to Sync/Cruise etc have to reinstall the ACM for the recall and then do some reprogramming. From what I understand it puts it back to factory settings

Probably the most annoying part. Having to re-do all the Forscan stuff. If it starts to glitch I might think about it, but it is working fine right now. I also do not stream any music, etc. until I get going so that may be something to do with not having issues. I have enough memory to run things. My wife's Mazda stops streaming, etc. when you back up.

I only have the tail lamp and wiper motor recalls active. Gonna hold off for a while on them. The camera one, I probably would have done.

I wouldn't say I'm avoiding the recall, just postponing it for a few months until I'm sure the fix actually fixes it. 😬
I am going to wait a bit on the rear camera recall hoping that a 12 volt battery charging recall or CSP is coming :)
FordPass app also lists the driver side seat buckle CSP for my 23 XLT hybrid.
