Anybody having phone connectivity issues ?

23 Ecoboost Lariat AWD 4K . My APIM was replaced 2 months ago after having strange issues with wifi, navigation and phone . It also had a burning electrical smell. Soon after it was replaced I started having phone connectivity and contacts issues (Iphone 13 mini). I reset SYNC 3 times and it would work one time and then contacts wont work. Phone will sometimes connect when I get in the truck. It gives me message that SYNC doesnt support this feature or contacts are still down loading ,even two hours later. Tech said APIM tests out OK. I was getting ready to leave and another tech came over to talk to me and the tech working on it now. He said he had talked to Ford and they are aware of the issue and there wont be a fix until October . So for the next 3.5 months I will be pulling off the road to hand dial phone calls. Times are bad ! LOL Just a FYI in case you have this issue

Pixel 4a here, no issues either. Phone connects to truck almost immediately and starts playing Pandora by the time I've backed out of the driveway.

Definitely one of the worst infotainment systems I've experienced. The software is very buggy with adapters, bluetooth, and connectivity in general (I have an iPhone).

Not sure,it might be. It has the latest update . The fact Ford knows about it makes me think issue is on their end. Bret

I use the exact same phone, love the form factor. I get my best consistent connectivity using a wireless adapter.

Always make sure the lightning receptacle is clear of dust and dirt and stuff from your pockets etc.

We are on our 2nd unit and about to get a 3rd.

It flat out will not connect to my son's iPhone 13. It regularly drops my wife's iPhone XS. Oddly enough, my iPhone X hasn't had many issues at all.

I called Apple and they didnt say anthing usefull. Thats why I thought is was a Ford issue,who knows.

I have a Motorola Moto G Power running Android 11 from around 2020 and the truck's (non-SYNC) infotainment system does not always connect wirelessly to it via BT. I cannot always blame the truck, since rebooting my phone often fixes this issue.
HOWEVER - One REALLY annoying problem is that the Maverick will show me SMS and MMS messages, but completely ignore RCS (Remote Chat) ones preferred by Android for messaging with another Android. This has caused me to miss some critically important text messages and renders the entire system worse than useless to me. I've heard rumors that Google may fix this but I have my doubts it will help my older system. Does anyone know the facts? Ford? Hellooooo???

I have a IPhone SE 3rd gen and an Ottocast adapter that was a PITA to get working -lousy instructions - but works flawlessly now

Having similar phone connectivity issues. I have a 2024 Hybrid XL. Android Samsung phone. Sales guy connected it flawlessly and it worked for a couple months then Nada. I had a software recall and the tech got the phone/screen connection to work for a bit . He did not know why it is hit and miss. I have tried new cords both to C slot and A slot. It works, then dies, then restarts for no apparent reason. Annoying or worse.
