I thought they usually just used hooks for hoisting the engines for install? Why would they need a bracket with a lot of holes? Maybe it is a hybrid thing.

I have a early hybrid Lariat with the lux package CP360 with wifi and all the safety things that came in those packages. I also have that bracket with nothing attached to it. It can't be for engine removal, because it's not connecte to the engine.
