I'm not, and don't call me Surely............................. (LoL!)shirley you’re kidding![]()

I’m confused by your statement: “I would say the insurance co. should have the burden to find a replacement if totaled.” You’re kidding right? How and Why should that be the insurance company’s responsibility? The insurance co. did not have anything to do with the extent of the damage that was caused by the accident, resulting in the vehicle being deemed a total loss.I feel your pain-must be a blue truck thing..............Mine took 81 days to repair ($12k damage). I would say the insurance co. should have the burden to find a replacement if totaled. Good luck...keep us posted......prayers for you![]()
That’s why the insurance company pays the customer the current value of the vehicle that was lost due to being deemed a total loss. They have indemnified that customer and now the customer can go purchase whatever they want with the amount that the vehicle was valued at when the accident occurredI am speaking in theory I guess---the at-fault driver's insurance company would be liable for all damages caused by Their customer's wreck. That should be replacement of the vehicle they damaged.
