I picked up my 23 XLT Hybrid one month ago - after 17 months of waiting - and have since had 2 completely dead batteries. Both times I had to jump start my truck with my Noco GB40 and thankfully both times it worked. The first thing I wanted to figure out was whether or not my battery itself was weak/defective. I bought a multimeter and after multiple tests I continue to show a strong 12.6V to 13-14V with the key ignition on.

I then decided to take it to my local audio guy to have him determine whether or not my small Alpine KTA450 amp (50watt x 4 channel) could be running after the truck is turned off / draining battery during other times. My shop confirmed that the amp is wired correctly and does not draw power once the truck is off. They were so cool in fact, that they swapped out my amp that I had just purchased 3 weeks ago with a brand new one - just to be safe!

Then, they decided to test my battery 4 separate times by leaving the truck running in park, and measuring the amperage over time. Within 5-10-15 minutes my amperage dropped down to roughly 20 Milliamps. So they were baffled. Something is severely draining my battery while my truck sits running (not being driven, just parked with the key ignition on)

This makes sense because both times that my truck died, it was the morning after I had spent 10-ish minutes with the engine running after a long 50-75 mile drive the day previously. Despite being driven all day in the warm California sun, it appears that parking my truck in front of my house for 10-15 minutes was enough to do the damage. Wake up the next morning (both times) and discover the dreaded "Deep Sleep" notification - run outside and sure enough, completely dead truck. Power locks won't even work. Again, thankfully I have a Noco, but...yeah....

So I have an appointment with a dealership in Irvine, CA this afternoon as my local dealer where I purchased my truck is beyond corrupt and incompetent (I'm currently fighting them - and losing - for the $2,750 private offer that they refused to honor). I am hoping that by going to a reputable dealer who I've heard great things about from friends - as well as by my friend at the Beach Auto Sound in Huntington Beach - that they will be able to determine what might be causing such a severe and rapid drain on my truck battery.

I love this truck. It's only been 32 days since I picked it up and it pains me to have to hand it over to a dealer after a 17 month wait. I will post any updates I get so that hopefully we can come together and either find a solution or that at least my experience may help navigate another should they encounter such a thing.

I have had mine for 5 months and truck is currently at dealer for mystery power drain. 2 different dealers check the truck out and tell me no issues ford then when it sits for at least 20 hours in my garage dead again.

So I picked up my truck after a quick 24-hour turnaround at the dealership. Good on them. They installed a new 12V battery and said they did a few updates. I figured I was good.

I woke up to a new deep sleep message, truck started thankfully....drove to work and parked (18 miles / 40 minutes)

An hour later at my desk I get a 2nd deep sleep notification....went downstairs and drove around the block in Low Mode as a last ditch effort.

Currently on hold with my dealership and will be dropping it off again until they can look it. Sigh. We were supposed to drive to Big Bear for a weekend cabin this weekend too.... lol. Never mind.

well evertyime I leave mine at dealer it doesn't go dead. Just left it there 3 more days and it fired right up. The dealer even video taped the experience. If truck is in my garage and I don't start it it goes dead within 19 hours. Doom light won't come on after 5 hours when I open the doors. I have now turned off all bluetooth, wi-fi connections, Hotspot , deleted ford pass app and I'm going to park away from my house and shut off my wi-fi at night. I also have keys locked in a metal box. I'm guessing the vehicle was searching for connections to the point of draining my battery lets see if this works lol Im also going to have a jack n coke after all the stress

Lots of us with the Deep Sleep issue and lots of posts about it. So far no confirmed fix.
???

Mine is fixed after ~6+ months of deep sleep issues every 3-4 days and manually charging the battery each time...

I’m now at week 7 (y)

That sounds about right. When my battery was new I went four months without a message, but now it happens consistently. I hope it works out for you and we should know more in the next 2+ months.

I turned off all the bluetooth and wifi comunications as well and my situation is like yours. I am now coming out to a car that is alive instead off dead. The only problem I am still having is the battery power percentage continues to slowly drop. My dealer has confirmed that there is no apparent power drain that he can pick up with the voltmeter yet he checked the battery at 39% charge. I drive it daily for many miles so it is not the lack of driving causing it. I asked the mechanic if maybe the modem still working overtime may cause the drain, and he said it may be possible. Is your battery running at a high percentage charge or is yours still charged to the low side?

It won't
I’m of the opinion that Jack and Coke will temporarily resolve many issues, or do you think he was referring to the other solutions he listed?
