Is that wood? Have you considered HDPL (has a few names I guess, Starboard in the marine world, but basically what they make cutting boards out of... costco and a few other places sell it and it won't absorb moisture).
Yes sir, this is Baltic birch so it's also won't absorb moisture, but to be on the even more safe side it also got sealed to be 1000% safe. I almost went with HDPL but just liked the way Baltic birch looked with the crystal cone

Some things happened over Thanksgiving break lol will be adding a third amp in the future when the subs go in. When subs go in, I will be doing a 5 1/4 in the rear, just didn't have time

looking good! Do you have pics of what all you sound deadened for the front doors? Also where did you mount the crossover? I have a few other questions but don’t want to hit you with them all in this post lol.

I don't yet, but I will when I rip out all the mega zorbe around Christmas time. I don't have crossovers either as I am running active with the focal DSP. I don't mind questions either so have at them

What is active? One of the questions I was going to ask what how you wired your crossovers lol. When I install my 6.5” components I was thinking of using the metra harness that plugs into the factory speaker harness then put the wires from that into the cross over then run my own wire to the 6.5 and then run a wire through the boot and directly to the tweeter that I will mount in the factory dash location.

Active is where you have a DSP that you can go in and make a lot more custom adjustments, and also one of my favorite features on it is time alignment.
But to wire that we had to run wires from the head unit to the dsp, then the dsp to amps, then run the wires to the speakers. We didn't go through the boot, we just piggybacked on to the factory wires under the dash as well.

So here are some more pictures of the build and figured I would give a little more information on it so I am running two modified Italia Hifi 4-channel amplifiers (modified by David at sound express), ATI Telesto two-way in the front which is same family as Italia hifi and PHD but is their prototype/experiments brand, PHD Coaxials in the rear which will be getting changed out to some either Italia hifi or ATI if I can get my hands on some very limited edition 5 1/4 coaxials they have, and a Focal DSP for all the processing.
I will be custom building a box for dual 8's I already have a couple gladen rs x 08 that I got as a deal with them and then I will be getting a couple Telesto 8's as well to test out and see which I like more. I already have my modified mono block from Italia hifi as well. I will be going to a 3 way and I went and bought a PHD studio line 2.5' wmt wideband as well. Will be doing that Christmas break as well.

ok thanks. What material are you using for your amp rack and do you have close up pics of how you attached ot to the rear wall?

We used 1/2" birch for the amp rack as well. And we were gonna use the mounts already there like a few have but I just didn't have the depth I wanted with the 3 amps and dsp back there. So we cut that part off on the passenger side and attached at higher points. If you look on the photos at each end you'll see two bolts on each side. And then on top of that, we epoxied areas as well so nothing will come lose

Just realized I missed this lol. Thanks for the pics! What mounts have other people used? Is that the threaded screw that sticks out of the rear wall? Also for your tweeters how did you mount them in the factory location? Did they just fit right in or have to be modified?

I noticed most used the threaded screw holes on the passenger side metal piece that sticks out. I cut off the piece in blue, and made a bracket to bolt them on the one in red which has one on both sides.
For my tweeters they had to be modified, we dremeled the inside for it fit perfectly inside. It's a massive tweeter as it barely fits from hitting my ac ducting under it. But I will be making a 1/2 birch baffle for that soon to mount the tweeter and the wmt there. I hate the tweeter covers on this thing so another good reason for the baffle then just speaker cloth on top.

What are you using to get the speaker signal for your amps?

I am using the focal fsp8 dsp, which I will soon be getting a musway tune 12 dsp to replace mine for more channels

I’m not too familiar with dsp or line output converters but I was looking to do a LC7i to run my alpine mrp500 and mrp-f300 amps from my old truck. Are you familiar with the audio control stuff? If so would the lc7i work? Also I was looking into the plugnplaykits.com harness that includes the lc71. Here’s a pic of the setup.

I have used a lc7i in the past and I wasn't a huge fan compared to a dsp. But I'm also not a huge audio control fan either, one of the most buggy dsp's they make and their amps ran on the hot side and the price vs performance I wasn't a huge fan of either.
I would personally look for a used dsp that's within your budget, focal, helix, audison along with minidsp, musway, and esx are all great brands you can find for cheap.
Also if your going plug and play make sure you tell them you need extra wire to be able to run your tweeters since they are together with your midbass from factory. I would recommend hoel as they know exactly what I'm talking about after a few long conversations with them.
