I bought both the Llj and plugnplay harnesses. Ended up using the hu adaptor harness and then built my own input and output harnesses from the pieces. I stripped the speed wire and twisted the cable for the speaker input and bought 16AWG TXL wire and twisted it for the amp outputs. Power kit is a Stinger 4 AWG. Used a Bussman circuit breaker and crimped eyelets for those connections. Connectors are Molex mini fit JR and Yazaki YESC 2.8. Used Tesa 51816 and 51036 for the covering tape. There’s just enough room in the sill wire harness troughs to fits everything. What harness and where did you get it?
Yes, but I am looking at this and being jealous of all the room you have for an amp rack60W RMS. Plan to run them full active assuming I can get wiring up to the tweeter. https://www.jlaudio.com/collections...0-car-audio-speakers-c2-speaker-systems-99617
Really jealous of the B&O owners right now. All wiring for full active is already there.
Is it hard to remove the tub? Is it reversible?Sub is a JL micro sub cp108-w3v3. Box is 18.5 in long, 11in wide, and 5.125 in tall. Fits perfectly after removing the tub. Harness was purchased and then highly customized. Didn’t want to use a single connector - split it into multiple parts to make updates easy.
very easy with plastic trim removal tools (you can get them on amazon). you start on the part that is above the door sill and work backwards. after you know how it's done, you probably can pull them off with your fingers. Is it hard to remove the tub? Is it reversible?
no. it isn't airtight, even stock. stick your fingers down there and feel - you can reach into the front edge (towards the front of the cab). the bench sits slightly elevated on several contact points that you can see are reinforced and there are rubber feet on the bottom of the bench. When you put the seat down and cover the subs, do you have any issues with the pressure from the subs rattling the seat or anything? I assume the seat is heavy enough, but as I'm planning my system I'm trying to get all the info I can.
