Nice. Looking forward to seeing some pics! I’m thinking about building my box also. My truck is getting built next week so hoping to have it by December but we’ll see. I’ve seem a few people get a 10 under the seat. Not sure what cu ft their sub requires but mine requires .5 cu ft so it’s a decent size box for the limited space under the seat
It makes sense to try to use your 10. I checked all the local shops for quotes before building my own but if I did a 10 I would've used a local shop that quoted 550 for fiberglass and said they wouldn't cut the bench corner brace.

You have me thinking about doing a nice order to us composites right now, get some 1708 biaxial and some 1.5 oz chopped mat and nice gal of marine grade resin along with some talc or cabosil depending on weight I'm wanting. Now you got me thinking and thats never good for me lol

I just wanted to share this link, it's a pretty awesome audio build someone did for a buddy. I'm not sure if it's been posted or not and if it has sorry about that.

https://www.diymobileaudio.com/threads/ford-maverick-complete-system.454562/#post-6073568
yep that is shop-level quality for sure, despite it being a DIY forum they posted it on.

it's super nice, and that's exactly what I would have expected my local shop to do had I taken them up on their offer to build a custom sealed 10" fiberglass box. if you have a good 10" that is exactly what you could do.

So here’s a blow out of the rear door panel.. anyone thought about adding a speaker to that section there? Specifically geared towards those amplifying their fronts.. $250ish door panel.

PS anyone need any part numbers or diagrams, I’m your guy 😏😏

it's very common for high-budget autosound to build speaker pods or complete door panels. here's some examples from the Maverick Customs FB group.

the door panels are one piece so I don't see it as likely for anyone to offer this as a product. it's too costly to fabricate for production and then even if you did some idiot with a 3D printer is just going to copy your product without doing any of the hard work and sell it cheap on Amazon. if you want this someone will have to build it by hand.

Some things happened over Thanksgiving break lol will be adding a third amp in the future when the subs go in. When subs go in, I will be doing a 5 1/4 in the rear, just didn't have time

No sir that's the front door, it's a 1.5" ring to be able to fit the massive mid bass. Had to cross it over at 90hz vs 60 due to flex.
So I'm gonna have to take the mega zorbe out of the front doors and do more deadener on them and then do thinsulate or fibermat from resonix in the doors cards themselves. On top of that, the weatherstripping on the door is even vibrating crazy enough lol.
I have only changed my rear speakers out with other 4" coaxials, I will be doing a wood bracket like my fronts and epoxy them on to the metal and remove the plastic bracket on the trim piece. And for the gaps it will get some foam so the rear speakers will be sealed as well.

Aha. How deep is the 6.5 you're using? Also does the door panel fit as is or do you have to modify the factory plastic grille?

This is how we had it originally, and the door card was barely popping off, once I get the thinsulate on I will be doing some rivnuts in the screw locations to hold the door card better. And putting the rings back on as well. But hard to fit anything in this door panel.
Planning on doing blackhole tiles now in the door skin at 100% coverage that way I don't have to worry about my barriers in the door cards. This truck is hardcore with tight tolerances. And I was wrong this mid bass is around 3 inches not 4

Is that wood? Have you considered HDPL (has a few names I guess, Starboard in the marine world, but basically what they make cutting boards out of... costco and a few other places sell it and it won't absorb moisture).
