My phone (Pixel 3a) has a partially borked USB port that won't talk to most devices like the Maverick or PC so AAWireless is a godsend. Has worked without a hitch save twice I've had to plug/unplug the adapter when it didn't register on start.

Yes. If you plug into the usb it will show up on the radio display. You will use the screen to operate the maps app and Pandora

I'm not sure. I installed a wireless charger powered by the 12volt receptacle. It all seems to work well. I only have a 2 gig data plan. The maps apps uses most of it depending on how much I use it

I have unlimited talk, text, and data plan. However I use my device a lot for work taking and sending pix, using the stylus to make notes on pictures etc.

Ford calls it 'Connected Touch Radio'. From my understanding it's a carryover from some Euro models where it's sort of Sync 2.5 hardware running a system to look and act like Sync 3. The distinction doesn't seem to matter for the wireless AA adapters but the Carplay adapters can be more hit or miss where some only work with Sync 3.

Looking at getting a motorola MA1 dongle. Do you have to subscribe to a service or anything for it to work, or is it plug n play. I plan on using it for maps, and pandora. I have a Samsung Galaxy.

Go to your phone Settings > About Phone, and it will list your Android Version on that page. Some Google and Samsung phones with Android 10 are compatible as well.
