All WEATHER tire mileage on Hybrid

Has anyone used all WEATHER tires (not all seasons, or winter tires), on the Maverick? Wondering how much it affects mileage on the Hybrid, and if the winter performance is good enough with the Hybrid being only FWD. I like the idea of not having to swap tires every 6 months, but have never tried the all weathers before.

I've had MICHELIN CrossClimate2 on my daughter's vehicle (heavy electric car) for a couple years now in GA. Best summer and winter tire combo made, excellent choice (XL) for the maverick. BUT weird looking tread for sure.

Not on the Maverick but on the Kia Soul, front wheel drive, that I was driving last winter. It had Kumho all weather tires, with the 3peak snowflake. Very poor traction on cold (4 degree celcius) wet pavement, worst winter driving since I started using dedicated winter tires. not just acceleration getting going, but even moderate braking and cornering. Yes better than 3 (all) season tires but not comparable to winter tires up here. I was in Costco recently and they had winter tires beside the Cross Climate2 tires. I ran my hand across the tread on each type, the Cross climate 2 felt much harder than the winter tires, softer and more grip sticky.
My Ford dealer in Alliston offers winter tire packages at competitive prices. They also price match on all tires.

I have had all weather tires on my hybrid since last December, in my case Nokian WRG-4s. I had Michelin Cross Climates on my previous hybrid car. Both are very good for places with limited snow fall. I think if you have snow on the road most of the winter dedicated snow tires are still better over all, but as long as it does not get extremely cold (below -15C) where you are the all weather tires are a good alternative to swapping.

Yes there is a drop in fuel economy, but not a lot. More than makes up for the cost of a tire swap twice a year if you don't have winter tires on separate rims.

Something like the Cross Climate 2's, you won't notice any drop in MPG.

If you want to help your tires that are not a studless winter tire....Have them siped (New). This is what will help in traction. Also aid in longer life of tire. Keep them tires rotated at 5k.

To hopefully add to the discussion: 2 weeks ago I had installed studded Sumitomo Ice Edge tires. Full blown snow tires on my 23 maverick hybrid. Overkill? Maybe. But Maine has predictably heavy snow.
So far no noticeable decline in my average 44 mpg. A bit noisier.

We had Nokian WR G4s on a previous vehicle, would not buy them again. Noticeably worse than our dedicated snows in the winter and just weren't worth it for the price. It's kind of a headache, but we're sticking with two separate sets of wheels/tires. We have blizzaks on steelies for our jetta, so the Maverick pretty much sits in the garage all winter.

Your adding weight, they are heavier tires which translates to rolling resistance and it will definitely mess with your hybrid mileage

Cross Climate 2 are probably the best all weather tires.
I have not yet owned them, but I've read and watched a lot of reviews.
They are NOT LRR tires, and they tend to be louder than typical all season tires.
I think they probably are good enough in GTA winters since our heavy snow is typically cleared in a day or two.

IF I was going with a single tire all year round, I'd go with them.
