I was looking at the threads about delivery times, completion schedules and all. I guess as long as there is a back log on orders it is fair to assume the Maverick is still, well unique. It's only time for the Dodge products to come on board and maybe Toyota gets it's act together. I guess Mazda is also thinking of getting in the market. At some point I guess the Maverick is going to get well, more common place. Anyway, I hope the forum continues strong. I really like the mods and ideas shown from all the members. Thanks to all for the ideas and contributions.

If we got rid of the chicken tax we would see more. On the fence why we still need this. Think it hurts small fuel efficient trucks. Maybe only have it on the larger trucks.

I don't know what a chicken tax is. But it's sounds like a tax do it must be excessive, bad, and oppressive.

Newest waring off.??
Right now, I have the same feeling (joy) about driving my Maverick as I did my first 1985 Ranger. ( Ford had just released them in March 1982). And every year following, there was a new mod (known as accessories, back than) that was being released.
For ME the Newest never wore off...
And I don't expect that to change, for me that is...

I’ve had my truck for 1.5 years and the new hadn’t worn off until about 2 weeks ago when I came out of a visit for my job and my vehicle had been towed without warning in error…knowing your truck was dragged while in park onto a tow truck kills the new real quick unfortunately.

So because maverick are assembled/made in Mexico they have an extra tariff on them. I guess the Dodge made in Brazil would be hit. Right?
At $20K, there’s likely no room for the tax. There’s probably a NAFTA exemption.

I feel that. The new started wearing off of my initial blissful ownership experience with the no-crank/no-start issue that went unresolved and completed finished off by the botched headliner recall that made it look like a ten-year old parts truck driven by grease-monkeys.

3 Mavs already? How are you getting such high priority while 22k rollovers still wait for their first one?
I ordered 2 in June of 21 and 2 more 6 months later. Sold 2, declined one and kept one.
Made a little money selling them but I think thats now getting harder to do since production is catching up with demand, the market is changing and the price has gone up significantly since they first came out.
I paid 28 out the door for a Lariat/4k/360 but I ordered mine with 4k and FWD and later Ford said you had to have AWD to get the 4k so they gave me the AWD for free. I can't bitch about Ford not doing the right thing so that truck should have been 30k (+/-) out the door. Next was a XLT 4k/360 for 27 out the door. One I declined was sold close to MSRP by the dealer.
The one I kept is another XLT 4k/360 that I picked up in DesMoines IA when they were doing the 3k under MSRP and Ford's 36/0. I only mentioned my cost since I looked at Fords website and the 24 Mavericks are a lot more money. I was thinking of ordering a 24 and sell my current one but can't see the upside when the 36/0 is gone, add sales tax an reg fees then try to sell my 22 for a profit. Maybe I still can but no longer a slam dunk when it will be months before the 24 delivery and the market keeps moving back to normal.
I do sympathize with everyone on a long waiting list and/or getting jerked around by some dealers.
All I can really say is the early bird gets the worm. :)
