The base XL only comes with 4 tie-downs. I added 4 more. I used an aftermarket tie-down on the side wall rear at the TOP similar to the one already installed by Ford. For the ones on the FLOOR towards the front I used a flip anchor ring. I’ll leave a link to all these parts below.

You’ll need a tap wrench with bits that can cut M6-1.0 and M8-1.25. See image attached for which one is which. I can confirm that my job was done 100% correctly and that I used M8-1.25 on the front end floor holes even though Ford says they are M6-1.0. Don’t listen to them. They’re flat-ass wrong.

You’ll also need 4 hex bolts that are 20mm long and match the M6-1.0 on side wall holes, as well as 4 hex bolts that are 20mm long and match the M8-1.25 floor holes.

Ford uses nylon or plastic washers on the side wall tie-downs between the tie-downs and the bed. Seems odd to me since washers typically go under the bolt. Anyway, I included ones that match the specs Ford used. I didn’t use any washers on the floor flip ring anchors.

One tip when tapping the threads is to use some oil. I used WD40. Im sure somebody will criticize that but it worked fine. Also make sure to be as straight as possible when cutting and go in reverse a little bit every time you make a full turn. Blow out the holes with compressed air afterwards to remove metal shavings. Wear goggles or close your eyes!

I didn’t put anything on the side walls where the optional rail goes on higher trims. Some people put in eye bolts but I don’t like that idea since they can turn easily when torque is applied and they’re not as stable. But those pre-tapped holes are M8-1.25 if you’re planning on adding something.

Good luck and enjoy your Maverick 🍻

Might need to chase the threads in case spray-in material is on ford's rivnut threads.

I used M8 x 1.25 on those some of those.

M8 means the diameter and 32mm means the length... right?

Yes.

I got these from Amazon long ago.
Have worked great; no issues.

I had the Line-X spray bed liner already, but no problem with over spray in holes.

Did have to get a wrench to help tighten down each one to completion. Lots of turning each one to make it flush.

What did you do to make sure they won't back out of the holes you put them in? I think I might do this myself and use thread locker. What if anything did you do?

Yes.

I did nothing but screwing the bolt in directly.

I thought about a washer to help with surface area weight distribution.
But, I have had no issues with the extra tie down bolts. Never backed out, pulled the threads, shifted..nada.

They have held various ratchet straps, tie downs, rope, bungee cords, etc...
I even had some aluminum carabineers on a cargo net deform and pop off from a weighted load shift. The tie down bolts had no issue at all. Just replaced the carabineers on the net.

So ... I was looking ate this thread and decided to share what I did on my 2025 Tremor.

I choose to change the stock bed cover for the electric hard rolling bed cover, since I dont carry equipments that are big enouth to the estructure of the cover to get in the way.
But, with this decision, instaling a rail system lost his sence, so I decided to add some extra hooks to hold cargo...

Ended up getting some Ford Transit tie down hoocks ...
it's a nice option, because they have this extension that make possible for them to swive and not bump into the cargo wall...
The hooks come with M10 bolts, só a got some M8 - 1,25 - 5,0 cm (02 in) with M10 washers and use a small crystal hose to fill the diference of space from the M10 to the M8 !
