If you approach someone going slow, it will slow you down. I prefer to pay attention, see who is going slow, and change lanes to avoid them without ever adjusting my speed. If you are on a busy highway and get stuck behind the slow poke, all the cars you've already passed will pass you up. Gotta go with the flow in the fast lane or you will get boxed out for miles. I've driven 300 miles without ever slowing down on the highway in Texas. Of course, I only utilize cruise control at 70 + mph. I also hate the lane assist feature that fights you when you want to change lanes. The new "self driving" cars may be cool, but I would never trust them. I'm sure some people love adaptive cruise, but I'm not one of them. I'll do the driving thankyou very much

What makes you believe that you can't use adaptive cruise control and pay attention at the same time? I know that I can do both simultaneously, and have been doing so for many years now. All ACC does is keep you at a consistent speed (that you can set), and well off the back bumper of any car in front of you. And If I'm driving along using ACC and see a slowpoke ahead of me, I simply change lanes and pass them. Same as you. And I also get to my destination just as fast as you do.
well DUH…cause if you DON’T slow down or change lanes you’ll rear end them and the fault is all yours!!! I have never heard of that, no. They cannot just void your whole warranty without causation.
Well I've decided to not proceed. With the additional hardware that has to be purchased which I estimate around $1500 then the work requires removing the front bumper cover and grill its just not worth all the work for the ACC. I understand that it won't effect the rest of the warranty but my fear is that any time you program a module it will leave a water mark. This could possible effect your warranty for other electrical issues you may have even though it's not related to the ACC install.
Probably because he cannot accelerate at will, while in between cars or he can accelerate when he is not trailing a vehicle.
