AC stopped working

Turned on the AC today in my 23 Hybrid and it only blew warm air. Has anyone else had this issue?

What is the outside temperature? And what is your climate temperature set to?

Ambient is 86F and climate was set to “low”. It’s been working great until today.

I asked because it was 90 here yesterday and mine was set to 72. When I got in today it was blowing warm air, outdoor temp was 60. I was under the impression that if you set it to low it is fresh air only and disables the AC compressor from running. Did you try setting a temperature?

Lo setting - but no AC button pressed - you got it, no blended heat. But you can press Recycle actually.

Lo setting - with AC button pressed - max AC compressor. Well, unless it's really like 55 in cabin.

Did it sound like actual loss or breakdown - or it's failing to recognize a button pushed?

Because every once in awhile - mine won't show the desired temp in top left of screen.
And therefore what it's doing based on it's confusion of it appears unknown temp selection.
I've confirmed it's not just a display issue, like it's still doing the correct thing anyway.
As soon as I move the dial and back to where it was to now display say Lo - it does something different now.
Seems I can cause that confusion easier if I immediately go into Reverse without the screen waking up totally, it still seems stuck after I've gone back to drive and the rear view display has dropped.

Nobody has ever had their AC quit working…..

When i leave it on auto once in a while you will start the vehicle and the AC button wont be illuminated. I have the manual climate tho

My a/c compressor went out at approximately 1050mi. Took it in 1.5wks ago. No word when the new compressor will arrive. Automated answering systems at dealerships is a bunch of crap. You can leave a message, but you rarely get an answer until you get a hold of someone in person. I hope the air conditioning compressor is not a problem for a lot of people. Hopefully it was a fluke.

Did your compressor make any noises before hand? Did it end up being the compressor? If so, what did it end up costing you? Mine just died yesterday. Tested the freon and it's full. I noticed a few noises 3 days ago, but nothing super loud or high pitched, like I've seen in some comments.

No noises Or codes. It just would not get cold. It was covered under warranty. I only had about 4000 miles or so when it quit. I bought it brand new as a 2025.

Did your compressor make any noises before hand? Did it end up being the compressor? If so, what did it end up costing you? Mine just died yesterday. Tested the freon and it's full. I noticed a few noises 3 days ago, but nothing super loud or high pitched, like I've seen in some comments.

No noises. Nothing. However, it seems to have self corrected. We’ll see what happens in the next hot days.

Sadly, it is an intermittent problem. The first time it resolved itself. It seemed to be working, then did it again. And again, resolved itself. I don’t drive that much anymore (I also bought a Tesla Model S - very fun to drive).

I will soon be sending my Maverick to the shop for an oil change and will have them look into it.

Hopefully the shop can replicate the issue.
