About to cancel order!

I am sooooo frustrated! This is my first experience with Ford and I'm about to cry!! My build for a 2025 Lariat was placed in October, built in February and shipped the same month. It was to be delivered within two weeks and was in the ground in the Kansas city railyard. Okay, so we are in the process of buying a retirement home here in Missouri but still live in Mississippi, so a 500 mile trek and vacation time to come get it. Get to here and said it will be another two weeks. Bummer. Have done this 5 times now and each time a new destination time. Find out it's been getting back on the train several times and shipped to various locations... furthest away has been nebraska. Now we are in Missouri again based on Ford Marketing and dealership that it will be here this week. Then, i get on the phone and they say it is back on the rail again and in Kansas somewhere and not to expect it until the first week of May!!! I am soooo sad that nobody can help me get my truck!! My 1st experience with buying a brand new vehicle. I ran a vin check on the internet and find it has been listed for sale in 7 different dealerships!!! Sorry for venting my frustration, but I have purchased so many cool accessories and have even given her a name. It's like waiting for a child i am adopting only to find out the child keeps going to other homes. I am wits end!!

That is a horrific experience and first I've heard where there's all this bouncing around. It certainly does not seem normal. If you still want it, I'd first confirm it is there and tell them to take a picture of it or do a video call so you have a higher level of confidence. Alternatively, you should be checking around with other dealers since there is 2025s in dealer stock.

Advice you may not like.
Stop anticipating.
Stay put, until the dealer actually informs you they have your Maverick on the lot.
Then ask the salesperson to take a picture of the window sticker, text that picture to you and compare VIN #'s.

The order is placed by a dealership and it is specific to that dealership.

sound sus to me. there's no way it should be listed at various dealerships. i'd call ford directly and ask them to look into it.

That situation really stinks. I’m sorry to hear it happened to you.

If it were me personally, I would cancel the order and buy as close to a similar unit off of a different lot. Even though it doesn’t sound like the ordering dealership is causing the shipping problems, some entity at Ford needs to carry the responsibility and your interface with this dealership is as good place as any to lay the responsibility down by no longer doing business with them.
Again, just my opinion.
