HEY WHAT'S GOIN ON GUYS

Sorry, thought this was YouTube for a second 😂

I ordered a hybrid Lariat in July from a dealer halfway across the state because they came highly recommended from someone I trust, and the dealers nearest to me either had terrible communication or seemed almost apathetic toward making a sale. My guy got the deal done in one day and I was very pleased.

3 weeks ago I messaged and ask about possibly changing my order to Ecoboost to see about hopefully getting scheduled sooner. I got zero response, and nothing since. Maybe it's a personality quirk I need to work on but this kind of stuff infuriates me. I know people can get busy and things come up, but to literally get no response in 3 weeks is really bothersome. I'm starting to see local dealers, who I initially didn't want to work with, starting to get units soon and I'm wondering if I should just cancel the order and get a unit on the lot? At the very least I'm interested in going down there and seeing what pricing looks like at an actual dealership. I've wanted to be patient and tried my best but really need to get out of my current vehicle soon.

I'm seeing a few dealers with Mavericks in transit that are listed at msrp. I guess you could see what's coming & try to buy it sight unseen. One local dealer has his jacked $5k. It will rust to the ground waiting for me. I'm holding for a hybrid so little chance of a lot buy here. Good luck

Messaged? Did you ever call the dealer on the phone? Y'know, the old fashioned way.

Great point, can't really complain if you only use one method of communication. Hopefully, they also tried faxing, Pony Express and sending smoke signals.

I would say probably a in person visit ( I did that on my own order ) would be best but from your distance a phone call would be better than "messaging them" Im assuming email or possibly a text ? After a day or so that is forgotten about right or wrong. . I have my own customers sometimes say the same thing to me- . I was at a funeral someone emailed me - after a few days I had 300 other emails to deal with ..... not saying that in a perfect world every text, email, facebook message, twitter, google message, forum question shouldnt get attention but ... - I guess what Im trying to say from personal experience, the barrage of different ways customers try and contact a business is sometimes staggering. Im pretty sure it isnt personal - an old fashioned phone call is really the best way to contact on something important especially after a day you dont get a response. . At that point if you get no results then yeah - they suck :)

Had the same frustration with 3 nearby dealers...one salesman mentioned 5 to 8 months delay and he was straight commission and was starving for income and to he and his fellow sales reps just could not afford to spend their time take orders for Mavericks for next year.....so I had to go 800 miles away to place an order.

NO chance until EPA numbers are released.
