This thread makes zero sense, so @IamCris I hope you can shed more light on what communications you actually had with anyone from Ford at any level. And without the VIN, or dealer, or even build of truck, there is not much anyone here can do but sympathize and move on.

I am sooooo frustrated! This is my first experience with Ford and I'm about to cry!! My build for a 2025 Lariat was placed in October, built in February and shipped the same month. It was to be delivered within two weeks and was in the ground in the Kansas city railyard. Okay, so we are in the process of buying a retirement home here in Missouri but still live in Mississippi, so a 500 mile trek and vacation time to come get it. Get to here and said it will be another two weeks. Bummer. Have done this 5 times now and each time a new destination time. Find out it's been getting back on the train several times and shipped to various locations... furthest away has been nebraska. Now we are in Missouri again based on Ford Marketing and dealership that it will be here this week. Then, i get on the phone and they say it is back on the rail again and in Kansas somewhere and not to expect it until the first week of May!!! I am soooo sad that nobody can help me get my truck!! My 1st experience with buying a brand new vehicle. I ran a vin check on the internet and find it has been listed for sale in 7 different dealerships!!! Sorry for venting my frustration, but I have purchased so many cool accessories and have even given her a name. It's like waiting for a child i am adopting only to find out the child keeps going to other homes. I am wits end!!

This is awful. What dealership did you go through? (I want to make sure to avoid them!)

First time you've had to deal with a railroad I see. This is rather typical behavior I'm afraid. Every business that relies on rail shipments has a rail expeditor who keeps up with missing rail cars.

Okay, another update on my truck. Spoke to the dealership and they said they purchased the truck so that whenever it arrives we could just sign and go. They are in contact with the dealership that has it and with someone from ford. The dealership here in Nevada mo is quite upset. Their tracker shows it's still on the ground at the rail yard. I sent them snapshots of the listing from the dealership in Waukee Iowa along with snapshots of the chat I had with them and those have been forwarded to ford. It's been in Iowa for over two weeks.

Thank you for the follow up, sorry for doubting you.

With the Ford A/Z pricing in place it sounds like you're going to have a happy ending to a frustrating situation.

Good luck!

Crystle, thank you for the clarification, but the Sales rep in IA say's it's on their lot, yet there's still a delay in getting it? Is your MO dealer trying to get it shipped to them, vs you just going to IA to purchase it?

I assume that you have emails from Ford that show the progress of your build, the most recent ones having a matching VIN#? Seems odd that your dealer would have off-loaded your special order, rather than sell it to you.

Call YOUR dealer and tell them you have hired an attorney.
Right off the bat the dealer will know it's 🐂💩. This isn't a personal injury suit. Therefore you have to hire a lawyer and pay a retainer.
Nobody's going to spend $2,000 to $5,000 for a retainer. In order to force a dealer to sell them a Maverick.

I know many attorneys here that will take the case for 1/3 of judgement. Better yet if the buyer put down a deposit, I am assume they did, file a police report for theft and fraud.
Remember deposit or not it's not your truck until the final payment is made and the title is in your name.
Until that point in time. It is either Ford's truck, the Dealer's truck or the finance institutions truck.
The lawyers that take a third are for personal injury suits. This is a civil suit and the police will not get involved.
There is no monetary judgment in this case. The case would be for specific performance. A deposit gives a person a little more leverage.
