Better yet call local news and report the dealership took my money but did not deliver. The order is a contract between 2 parties. 1 failed to live up to the contract. And in Virginia there are attorneys that SUE for damages on a percentage of award, no money up front. I personally know for a fact!
Please tell me. What you would assess monetary damages on?
Would this mean that the lawyer would own a 1/3 of your Maverick?
Do you know that money has changed hands?
What you have is a promissory contract.
Remember you don't own the truck until it's paid off and the title is in your name.
Until such time that the truck is titled in your name, you are afforded rights of usage.
I don't think the op/ buyer lives in Virginia.

I am sooooo frustrated! This is my first experience with Ford and I'm about to cry!! My build for a 2025 Lariat was placed in October, built in February and shipped the same month. It was to be delivered within two weeks and was in the ground in the Kansas city railyard. Okay, so we are in the process of buying a retirement home here in Missouri but still live in Mississippi, so a 500 mile trek and vacation time to come get it. Get to here and said it will be another two weeks. Bummer. Have done this 5 times now and each time a new destination time. Find out it's been getting back on the train several times and shipped to various locations... furthest away has been nebraska. Now we are in Missouri again based on Ford Marketing and dealership that it will be here this week. Then, i get on the phone and they say it is back on the rail again and in Kansas somewhere and not to expect it until the first week of May!!! I am soooo sad that nobody can help me get my truck!! My 1st experience with buying a brand new vehicle. I ran a vin check on the internet and find it has been listed for sale in 7 different dealerships!!! Sorry for venting my frustration, but I have purchased so many cool accessories and have even given her a name. It's like waiting for a child i am adopting only to find out the child keeps going to other homes. I am wits end!!
You are so close now, why give up? We, (the early buyers) waited around a year, not only to get one, but to see one! Your truck is on a Tour of America, soon it will be home to tell you all the stories of where it has been, and the two of you can start visiting all the places still left to see.

If the OP would just call the law offices of Schloop, Fleber, y Tinkerweinkle (1-800-510-1010) they'd get instant gratification.

On a serious note, why in the world would anyone go through all of that? Cancel the order and find another truck.

I love that color and love red trucks. that is what I went to look at in an xtl trim. Then I saw the Atlas Blue and for sentimental reasons I prefer to keep to myself I had to have the blue. Plus i loved the "blue jeans and cowboy boots" interior on Bluey. Is your interior the black?

This posting has so many issues that it is hard to know where to begin.
  • The OP is blaming Ford for something out of their control. Once it leaves the factory on a rail car, it is in the hands of logistics companies.
  • If the OP did some research on MTC, they would know that transit times are flexible and that they should not make plans until the vehicle has been delivered to the dealership (and put through the preparation process).
Having educated myself through this forum and from @fordvideoguy videos (and membership), I knew it was out of Ford's and the dealership's hands until it arrived at the dealership. Everything is speculation until it arrives.

Patience is a virtue.
I don’t have.
I’d never ever special order.
I got this baby right out of the showroom.

That is why when I order one I never track it. It shows when it does.
My maverick took some time but my focus rs was an eternity. Same with my mustang. After the rs I literally order and just wait. The happiness I get when I receive the call is Awsome.

Seems like Ford should be stepping up here and finding a way to make this right. This is all sorts of messed up.

For anyone that knows:
When they do the hold for extra quality control (ok, stop laughing), where is that actually done?
Or is it still done, or just on new jobs? At the factory hold & testing - seems like the best place.
Transported from railyard to Ford facility, but only in cities that happen to have one?
Certainly a Ford plant here in Kansas City to take it to.

I'll admit the follow up post with what sounds like just plain mistakes made on paperwork or people reading paperwork is what got this one.
Workers are just so busy today - juggling their work phones/scanners, personal phones, social media updates, forum posts, ect.
Railyard worker probably scanned the code for next step for this truck with his personal phone and a confused Facebook group wondered what was going on.

Okay, another update on my truck. Spoke to the dealership and they said they purchased the truck so that whenever it arrives we could just sign and go. They are in contact with the dealership that has it and with someone from ford. The dealership here in Nevada mo is quite upset. Their tracker shows it's still on the ground at the rail yard. I sent them snapshots of the listing from the dealership in Waukee Iowa along with snapshots of the chat I had with them and those have been forwarded to ford. It's been in Iowa for over two weeks.

"IamCris" Crystle,
When you ordered your Maverick.
Did you pay a Deposit?
OR
Did you Pay In Full at the time you ordered?
Thank you in advance

Also, if or when you get it, check the mileage. I bought a new vehicle once and was driven 220 miles for delivery. Another time, the salesman allowed a "test drive" to other customers. After gripping about it, $300 was taken off.

I think that the law offices of Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe would get the job done.

Update... found my truck!!! It is fire sale at a dealership in Iowa!!!! Now wondering what to do!
I looked at the invoice for the VIN you provided..... It shows as having been ordered by Stivers Ford in IA. It was an X-plan order. The invoice was created 04/07/2025. So probably built around the 14th or so.

You said yours was built in February. That doesn't make sense. Is if possible that you were sent the wrong VIN? That would make a lot more sense.
