Hi B. Adams! I noticed you are from South Dakota...I am too. Welcome to MTC!! 👋
Thanks Bill, I'm glad to be part of the group! It's nice to see someone else from my home state on here. I grew up in the hills, but I've lived in Vermillion for about 25 years. Which part of the state are you in?

I am from Sioux Falls. I placed my previous order (22 Lariat EB) with Granger Ford which is near Des Moines, IA. I also just placed an order with Granger for a 25 Lariat AWD EB last week. I am saving almost $1800 by going through Granger instead of local.

I paid $100 for ordering a Maverick. I have another one coming from another dealer who is my relative so I will keep that one. Both are scheduled for Jan 6th build date.
I just need to tell the dealer to cancel the order as the dealer will not endure any loss since the build date is still a month away?
My dealer told me that if I didn't buy my Maverick he'd just sell it to one of the 8-10 people on the waiting list and it'd be gone in 48 hours.

Cool, we're not too far away then. Seems like almost everyone is in Sioux Falls these days.

I thought about ordering a Maverick a couple years ago, but they were so hard to get I didn't bother. I told myself that if they ever came out with an AWD hybrid that I'd probably buy one. Then they did, so I did. It's going to be here soon and I'm getting excited about it. More than I was when my F350 finally came in, which is kinda weird because the Maverick isn't nearly as much truck. Both Lariats though, so they'll get along great.

I'd say $1,800 is worth a 4 hour drive. It would be for me too. They're obviously treating you right and earning your business.

My dad was going to buy a Ford in Sioux Falls about 45 years ago but they wouldn't give him the time of day, so he bought a Toyota instead and that little pickup lasted almost 40 years. I've never bought a Ford in Sioux Falls either, so I guess I'm continuing the tradition.

I suspect one of our first excursions in my new truck will be to Sioux Falls, to get some burgers at Murph's on East 10th. If you haven't been there, you should check it out sometime.

Not sure who you were asking...I ordered Job 2 because I wanted the trailer assist package. This option is a game changer imho.
Not you, OP said he ordered 2.
