It's not horrible. But beyond the lack of hitch, that might just be pushing the limits of the Maverick. Not counting my [redacted] pound frame.

I like the simplicity of their website and hate it at the same time. They have about 95% of the information and nothing more. But damn, that other 5% is what you need.

Interesting idea. Only issue is that because of its light duty nature there may not be proper structure beneath the bed to attach a 5th wheel hitch to. Then also 5th wheel hitches are much heavier than regular. I think this would be better suited for a Ranger that is loaded up with the whole family and a bunch of gear piled in it.

Funny enough, I thought about the bug camper when I was looking at this thing. I agree with others have said. This likely works better with the Ranger that has an actual frame to attach the fifth wheel hitch to. The Maverick is, as I like to say, an Escape with a bed. The Maverick is capable, but it just barely meets the definition of a truck.

Everyone saying no talks like the Maverick is a tiny body on frame, but it's not.
The bottom of the bed is part of/welded to the frame and on my 22 their is mounting points already there.
There is already some companys making bolt in hitchs.
The biggest problem is the unknown weight limit of the suspension and chassis.
I have an aluminum trailer being made to haul a show car and combined it will be just under 5k pounds.
I will not go easy on it, so if I brake it we'll know 5k is to much.
