Hello,

I'm new to towing and I am looking for a light weight trailer camper or pop up tent trailer that will fit my needs and not overdo it for the maverick. We only need it to sleep 4 because my eldest loves sleeping in his hammock set up. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm even willing to forgo a kitchen as I don't mind cooking outside.

I have a 2022 with 4k tow package

Scamp and A Liner are both known for good quality, light trailers.

Your budget will matter a lot. Both of these brands, and others, offer 2 bed solutions that will easily be under 4,000 pounds fully loaded and rolling. But you can spend more than you paid for your Maverick.

To comfortably fit 4 in a solid camper it's gonna be right at the pain in he but to store and tow limit. I would look at pop ups or those slide up styles for a low profile. Since the Maverick is a nice tight lil truck. I would want a tight lil camper. Big thing to think about is are you camping out in the wilds or at campgrounds. Campgrounds have nice bathrooms so you may not need a full one in your camper.

You have dozens of options. Just Google travel trailers under 3,000lbs. Here in Canada we have ProLite out of Quebec and Taylor Coach that have several trailers under that weight. There are plenty of US mfgs too. You shouldnt have any trouble finding one that suits your needs. For me, having done the tent trailer thing I waited until I found a proper travel trailer to reduce setup time amongst other preferences.
