Bought a 2022 XLT Hybrid brand new and hot off the train. Loved that car- it was in Alto Blue metallic which they sadly don't do anymore.

A week and a half ago I was in a bad 3 car accident on the highway- got rear ended hard- and unfortunately my truck bed was too far gone and the adjuster deemed it a total loss.

However this did give me the opportunity for an upgrade! Got another XLT hybrid- basically all the same packages I previously had and MAN the difference between the inaugural Maverick and the 2026 is night and day! Plus im loving the light blue!

Glad you are OK. Will you be able to take the cover off the bed and transfer?

Glad to hear you're ok. I have a 2022 hybrid and am curious about the differences you're referring to other than cosmetic.
It feels like a smoother ride- but that may also be because I was driving a Nissan Sentra rental and hated being so low to the ground.

The dash info is now all digital screen rather than the normal speedometer etc. Much better infotainment screen and no awkward and useless cubby.

The seats also seem a little comfier? But maybe my 2022 ones were just well worn in.

But to me it feels more well thought out, a little sturdier and smoother. Im interested to see how the gas mileage compares. But I live in Texas and its very hot so not an ideal temp to test it out.

I got that T-shirt a couple of weeks ago.
Bambi and Gap insurance turned my wonderful trouble free 2024 Lariat Into a Badazz 2026 Tremor at no out of pocket due to me catching an employee discount and another $750 in customer loyalty.

Not surprised really, we heard of a lot of comments like this when people upgraded from 22's to 25's. The first 2-3 years of a new model is always a bit hit and miss, and given that 21-22 was the first year, that's even more so. Still I wouldn't want to trade my 22 for a new one, unless like you mine was totalled. Too many features that I like gone, like physical HVAC controls, smaller audio screen, analog gauges, heated wiper park, colour matched side mirrors and more.

For the interface experience Sync 4 is a massive upgrade over Connected touch radio or even sync 3.

Then the HF55 is substantially more powerful than the HF45 while providing the same efficiency for FWD.

Since OP went XLT they didn’t get the 360 degree cameras but I thoroughly enjoy that option as well.

Not sure yet! I haven't heard back from the adjuster due to the holiday weekend. But I was already shopping and wanted to take advantage of July 4th deals and found the exact one I wanted. Also I couldnt stand driving the rental much longer.

I knew a few things went bye bye, but I did not realize that many. My '23 isn't even broke in yet at around 9K so hopefully I can keep it for a long while.

I hated my Rental.
A 2024 Mitzubishi SUV with 2006 tech
The Cruise control was just like my 2006 Taco.
150 Hp non turbo engine with a crappy CVT, not the Ecvt , I hated it.
Passing anything was not an option.
Very poor handling,
Noisy,
AWD/4X4/rear locking diff. All crap.
mitsu’s used to be sweet tight little go boxes.
New this POS was $34,000 !!!
