  1. Significantly lower hybrid MPG due to Texas heat or a bad oil change?

🫠 although keep in mind this is a dark, alto blue after sitting in an unshaded parking lot at 5pm. Plus I have been using the remote start to get that AC going ALOT lately. Given that I got the very first oil change close to when our Temps started rising, I was wary but yeah it makes sense it...
  2. Significantly lower hybrid MPG due to Texas heat or a bad oil change?

So I only noticed this after an oil change but, coincidentally, I think that's also when we had our first extreme heat advisory in central Texas with the heat index being over 110F and us needing to blast the AC to be comfortable. For reference, I was typically hovering around 38-40mpg. Now I...
  3. Truck came in handy for black Friday

Hahah it was repackaged. It's a C1 open box. With black Friday deals on the new ones, the open box ones drop ridiculously low.
  4. Truck came in handy for black Friday

Picked this guy up today and the Mav did a great job! Definitely got some looks as we coasted on the access road all the way home.
  5. Free Accessory Kit with Hybrid Maverick '22 Order

Not sure if I was supposed to receive one or not. I picked up an order that was dropped by the person that originally made it. I asked the sales guy and he said to check if the accessories were included on my window sticker- so no help there. I called the parts dept and they didnt know...
  6. Received my Maverick with 40 miles on it and found sticker: "selected at random for road testing following assembly"

A day after getting my truck I noticed a little sticker inside on the rear window. Hard to see from the outside with the tint. But atleast now I know why I received my truck with 40 miles already on it. Not that I would have minded people test driving it or anything, but I was curious since I...
  7. Keep bed extender and exchange roll up tonneau OR remove and sell bed extender?

Considering just storing the bed extender in the backyard or selling it. I like the design/materials of the BAK revolver too much to swap. The only roll up tonneau that works is the Truxedo Sentry (from what I can tell) and I don't like that it utilizes velcro.
  8. Keep bed extender and exchange roll up tonneau OR remove and sell bed extender?

I bought a dropped Maverick order that came with a bed extender. The bed extender was the only extra thing that I didn't really want and wouldnt have included had it been my own order. Now that I have it, it's cool but I use it more to keep things in the bed from sliding around (so folded in...
  9. There are still SOME good dealerships

Picked up my XLT hybrid Monday. Worked with Cavender Grande Ford in San Antonio. I had called them back in March or April asking about a Maverick. They took a deposit for one of the stock units they ordered because they were the only ones in town that maintained they would not charge any markups...
  10. Seems like a bad sign

Same. Had a build week of 7/25 and was 'In Production' stage from 7/8. Just checked yesterday and was back to "order confirmed" and told by ford chat that build week is now 8/8
  11. Hat tip to Klaben Ford in Kent OH

I think that if they had offered it to me for MSRP I would have been there in a heartbeat. These ADMs are KILLING me. Some dealerships near me are marking up as much as $12k on newly turned down Mav orders.
  12. Hat tip to Klaben Ford in Kent OH

Quite Lucky! I was called about a Lariat with LUX but they wanted $5k over MSRP. Haggled them down to 2k above but I still couldn't pull the trigger. I originally had my heart set on an XLT so the idea of walking out the door (MSRP+ 2K markup +TTL) $7k higher than I was planning was too much.
  13. 8-2 Re-order in Austin area?

If you're willing to come to San Antonio I know Cavender Grande Ford doesn't do any markups and Jordan Ford advertises that they don't. Cavender Grande also I believe honors Xplan pricing
  14. Searching for San Antonio Dealers

I've been working with Cavender Grande Ford and they've been excellent. They advertise no mark ups on their website and while I've not ordered a new Mav from them, I'm working with them to get one of their ordered units (which I dont think will actually come). However, from that experience, I...
  15. Hybrid available in SA- Northside ford

Oh for sure. I definitely did. Just know that there may be some on this forum that are ready to pounce and may have more time/energy to haggle that markup
  16. Hybrid available in SA- Northside ford

It seems a Cactus Gray Hybrid XLT is available at Northside ford. My friend that works there called me today. However, their 10k markup is a little too steep for me. But if there's someone out there that doesn't mind that, by all means, please ask for Ishaq (pronounced like Isaac).
  17. How do you find a Maverick???- No Pre-order

Oh this is exactly why I signed the finance sheet or whatever its called (even though I will not be financing it)-its got the MSRP, Doc fee, TTL totaled out and I asked for a copy for myself.
  18. How do you find a Maverick???- No Pre-order

So I know its wishful thinking but I know its possible since I've seen a fair few people on here finding Mavs in the wild. I must have called dozens of dealerships in the Central Texas and North Texas area (im located in San Antonio)- even down in the RGV. I either get a dismissive "No we don't...
  19. USB cable issue with Samsung Galaxy - Water detected

I've had issues with my samsung charging in my car (not a maverick) when I turn off/on my car while its still plugged in. For whatever reason, if I did that, it would mess with my haptic feedback and I would have to reset the phone to get it back. It may be an issue with Samsung and possibly...
