Danger, Will Robinson! I look down and see this and my head starts swiveling 360 degrees. WTF?

Then I look again and it says ATTORNEY, and I think 'well now I am in trouble', ha ha. Then I see the rest and realize it is just a commercial in the radio ID for the radio station I was on.

Ford needs to change that to NOT show the station ID with commercials, but just display the frequency you are tuned to instead. At least I got a funny picture out of it.

This has been going on for awhile, using the large screen via the Artist Experience® software. The HD Radio technology has the necessary hardware/software to display ads via the FM channels.. Just today, I've seen this on my screen:

That ad probably came from Costco, where I was. Not every FM station subscribe to this service as of yet, but they will once they learn that they can make money on displaying ads. A nation wide study found that people remember more details of these ads vs sound and they tend to act on it too.

I guess I’m glad I can counter this technology with other technology…. I use Apple carplay to listen to my stuff. Never tried the radio functions to see these station banners.

I like to tune to AM or FM, and return to car play. Change pre-set stations on the wheel. I also listen to a lot of streamed AM and FM stations on iHeart and others.

True, but if you have Android Auto running or Maps, it would be nice to see what frequency station you are on without having to exit Android Auto. I think that is the purpose of it, but I don't want to see KCBS - ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION Call 1-800-4VIAGRA, I want to see 101.3 FM.

Sign me in, few days ago was thinking if there's any way to install duck duck go on the truck. That would make my day.

Or not even on thee. On the infotainment screen, I usually just display the clock and play music that's stored on my phone. Can't stand most radio stations.
