That's correct, if the HVAC is completely off, it stays off. We're talking about HVAC being on, but not AC. AC will cycle on & off automatically, pending cab level humidity, regardless of the setting, IF the HVAC is ON.My '24 XLT does not work that way. If I turn off HVAC before I turn off the engine, when I turn the engine back on, HVAC is not on. I live in Orlando, Florida. It is ALWAYS humid.
