I get way more info than that in mine. I'll grab a pic in the morning

I see a lot more in mine. Not sure why?

Now that's what I'm wanting. Even if no routing, this is helpful.

Wild y'all are seeing different things. Cactus - did you have navigation in your Maverick before the upgrade, so you get this "unlocked" and maybe Mavreezy was like me, where it wasn't included in the ealier year or two models?

Nope. It’s a 22 Lariat, but no Nav, sync 3 or lux. My FordPass acts the same as before as well.

I just looked closer at Mavreezy's pic and his menus are different as well. Mine came straight from OEM just like it is. Wonder if there was some FORSCAN needed on his or if his?

Has anyone that has done the conversion tried to link/ mirror Netflix or YouTube with an adapter?
I’ve tried 4 different name brand adapters and haven’t found one that will work or full screen as advertised

I noticed the upgrade had "NAV" in the row of buttons along the bottom of the screen. Was that original to the truck or part of the upgrade?

It's the factory navigation button of the Sync 4 system.

For those getting the 12" screen upgrade from the Transit, this is also an option for mounting your phone after (it uses a std ball mount, so any phone holder would work on it).

I tried something similar. My cellphone blocked some of my view of the touchscreen. My OCD symptoms immediately kicked in and I removed it. The Bulletpoint has worked the best for me because it's very adjustable.

But that's a good option for those who don't want to spend the money on the Bulletpoint.

I like my solution as well (from Amazon - either a knock off or the actual MFR that Bulletpoint uses), and I see how this could possibly conceal the upper left sliver of the screen.

BTW: I got that USB-C extension and just need to find the time to get it in. It fits the space between the brackets so it will make that area look clean, then just relo the USB-C charger into the space where the old cubby lived and it's done.

Been a few more weeks. Are you both still happy with the setup?

Software works well, feels OEM? I know it should since it's a Ford computer, but could totally see something like this being buggy. No major glitches?

Settings for things like interior lighting are in the infotainment interface on Sync3. Those options still exist?

The OG screen is a little "mushy" - more like an old school resistive touchscreen. This one looks more glossy, so maybe capacitive like a phone screen. The touch screen feel good / better than OG?

So far so good. I'm still very happy with the unit.

The only issue I've had are the flashbacks of tearing up my knuckles when I was removing and installing the new APIM.

I'm very happy with it. Being OEM it integrates and just feels like stock... only better. Things like the top 3/4" strip of the screen giving Ford info (external temp, fan speed/temp, notifications, etc.), using Carplay is SOOOOOoooo much better. Either in fully expanded/maximized view, or the step down with Ford info in the right 1/4 of the screen. Makes it handy to still use Google Maps along with FM radio or the inverse - have the Radio screen on and the right 1/4" showing upcoming turn by turn from Google Maps.

@Mavreezy Here’s how I ended up doing the USB charger up top. My bracing was in the way too - once I took the top off, I had to think of other ways. I trimmed the cosmetic edges of the charger and it still wouldn’t fit, so it became a surface mount inside the tray. Lol

IMG_3330.jpeg

It'll totally fit...

IMG_3335.jpeg

Nope. Even with trimming the mounting brace is in the way. So, I just ran a hole for the wire (straight drop to the fuse box)

If you know it's there and are looking for it, you see it. Otherwise, invisible.

I went ahead and copied your idea of adding a 12v power outlet in the back of the head unit. I wanted to do it underneath the Rubigrid the same way you did it, but I decided it was better for me to have easier access for when I plug and unplug accessories. I tapped fuse number 3.

Is it still a single display of your location only, or does this allow for full use of built-in navigation?
