Not a conspiracy. The magnesium shortage is real look it up.Okay, I will let you go back to folding up your tin foil hat. For everyone else in the real world, material statements by a senior officer of a publicly traded company are vetted by legal and nobody at that level would jeopardize their career. Thats why Elon Musk was sued by the SEC over a tweet saying he was taking the company private and now has to pre-clear twitter posts. No Magnesium shortages do not have to effect all vehicle manufacturers, when itās pretty clear it only impacts those that purchase from China. Inflation is an issue but not for the reasons suggested, rather MSRPās will likely be going up in MY2023. And higher prices cause lower demand, which helps manufacturers achieve equilibrium.
Guess the conspiracy nuts havenāt heard about US Magnesium the largest producer of Magensium in North America:

But the thread is about will it impact your Ford Maverick order for 2022? And the facts say, no it will likely not. So yeah the original OP is a joke by taking a dealership at face value. And we have a magnesium producer in Salt Lake City Utah thatās a major supplier for all of North America. That backs up what Ford CFO said that they donāt use Chinese magnesium, so again we arrive at little to no impact. Not a conspiracy. The magnesium shortage is real look it up.
Well ... I heard from my dealer that they are now putting chips in tires. That way they can connect the tires to the Internet, and still cheat us out of the cruise control that we didn't pay for. It all works together so that Ford can cheat hybrid buyers out of their right to a truck(lette) in the fall. Otherwise, they would be building 4wd hybrids, of course. And the magnesium shortage means that the aluminum hood flutters at highway speeds. So, they will not be installing that second hybrid battery pack, just to rip us off. But the good news is that even with the magnesium shortage, there remains plenty of steel for making the XL wheels!Well at least it's not a chip shortage.
Potato? Or banana?Well ... I heard from my dealer that they are now putting chips in tires.
You mean the tire pressure sensors.Well ... I heard from my dealer that they are now putting chips in tires.
Put 4 doughnuts on it and I'm good to go!I'll take mine without tires - even I can find those![]()

You can't fix stupid - And it seems that you can't quarantine it either!Yeah I picked that up. Iām not worried. In real life, Iām probably considered overeducated. And still, not smartest person in the room but smart enough to hire them. To each their own. No problems with our northern, or southern neighbors and wish the OP all the best making decisions with rumors. I have enough experience to know better. I didnāt come by my sunny disposition naturally. It took years to evolve into the skeptic that i am, lol.

I just had to replace a blown tire on my daughters car. It took a whole 2 days to get it from Discount Tire.I'll take mine without tires - even I can find those![]()
And if they have a shortage of rubber tires, they can always go back to the way that Henry Ford originally did it and put wooden wheels on it.But the good news is that even with the magnesium shortage, there remains plenty of steel for making the XL wheels!
At minimum, a shortage of anything plus inflation will likely make msrp sticker prices go way up.But the thread is about will it impact your Ford Maverick order for 2022?
