This kind of schadenfreude and humor always cracks me up. Little easter egg of a gem in another MY DEALER SAID!

I actually trust my dealer unlike the useless dealers you might deal with. Believe what you want. There is an actual tire shortage. I talked to my supplier of tires and he said the same thing when I bought my winter tires. The engines are absolutely possible so don’t dismiss things just because your not intelligent enough to understand it
And please don't insult other people here even if you are the smartest guy in the room.

Doesn't take a genius to:

A: See there is a supply shortage everywhere

B: Not trust a car salesguy

I decided to take my soft cover off for this exact reason. I figured the constraints where going to hold it up so I am just going to purchase one with my Ford Pass points when I am closer to production

As much as people seem to want to deny reality there are shortages of rubber, magnesium, and aluminum. Rubber shotages, makes it harder to make tires. Aluminum and magnesium alloy? Guess what the engine blocks are made of?

Ford’s CEO Jim Farley told CNBC, speaking about scaling up to meet demand for the electric Ford 150 said that his main concerns right now above any others are battery packs. Ford spokesperson said about Hybrid Maverick orders: "We planned for approximately 40 percent of Maverick production to be hybrid with actual demand exceeding our expectations," said Ford spokesperson Dawn McKenzie.

That has been confirmed via the constraints at 40% for hybrids and Long Macarthur’s most recent scheduling hybrids around 37.5% [the only transparent dealership for Maverick information and with a direct line to the Maverick Team]. Ford planned for 40% hybrids and scheduling backs that up. It sure seems like the trouble is getting additional hybrid battery pack capacity and/or hybrid components to meet more demand than plan/forecast.

The last round of scheduling went to Jun-Aug Hybrid orders and Oct-Nov Ecoboost orders. Those ecoboost orders built early are using all of those components mentioned above and Argentina is limited to ecoboost only orders, coincidence, or does Ford need to fill up excess capacity/parts on hand? Ecoboost orders are being built faster than hybrid orders, while hybrids are being built slower. That can change if Ford can source additional supply for Feb-Apr production run, and if they aren’t focused on a better margin vehicle, like the electric F150.

Rumors may be more beguiling than facts but that doesn’t make them true. Matt Ingram

Allocations/scheduling at 55:20, Maverick truck club information at 59:15, 2022 build and even dealership employees not knowing about what’s going on at 1:00, true constraints at 1:01

Irreverent. That's just accounting for what they ordered to make vehicles, that doesn't mean they have those materials on hand.
