4K Tow Recall

My XLT AWD 4K Tow Maverick is due at the dealership this week. About two weeks ago it was showing the recall for the 4K tow. I already notified the dealer to fix before I pick it up.
When I look on Ford.com and the Ford App shows no recalls. Is Ford doing the recall electronically now.
Of course I will be asking when I get the call to pick it up. Just curious

It may have got delivered today and they did it already as soon as ford gets the service notes it will clear from the recall lookup. The tracker only seems to update once a day for delivery status.

It’s been showing no recalls for a week. The truck is still in Chicago waiting on the hauler to transport it 100 miles to dealership.

F-150s got the same recall, sounds like a software thing.

That recall is a software fix, so shouldn’t take long.

According to that article, sounds like any Mavs produced after 2/22/22 are good to go. Which is encouraging. Also that date is fun.

I got my notification in the Ford Pass App. Got the work done today, took about 4 hours.

I mean it's an update to the software. Seems like something you could do at home over wi-fi. Probably not an actual 4-hour fix. But I get it, dealers are also mechanic/repair shops, I'm sure they're busy.

I’m in a similar situation. Truck arrived in Chicago 2 weeks ago. Was suppose to arrive at dealer today in Peoria, IL and now dealer is telling me Ford is showing it is Delayed. They aren’t sure what that means so reached out to Ford Corproate Rep.

I was advised the same thing from my salesperson. Mine is still enroute but was told I can't pick up until they have done the prep and fixed the recall for the trailer brake system.

I dropped my Maverick off yesterday morning for a minor adjustment. They attempted the 4K Towing safety recall update while they had it. It failed. My Maverick is now a brick. It will be interesting to see where this goes from here.
