Why would you assume that?Because it sounded like you bought yours after market
Forget it I didWhy would you assume that?
I suppose one good thing to come out of having to wait for our Mavericks is that guys like you will have already figured out all kinds of modifications and accessories for our trucks and even have purchasable kits for DIY user installation!I mentioned on another thread on this form that I am working on a system design for both the EB and the Hybrid models for the maximum size inverter based on utilizing stock equipment in both models. I am working with an engineer rather than just winging it. There will be no guessing - all technical information will be provided on this forum when finished.
I/we need some help from anyone out there who actually has a Hybrid or an EB and has the knowhow to get actual output amperage from the respective charging system. What is known are the formulas to calculate the inverter size but all numbers to enter into the calculation are not available. What we know is that the EB has a 190amp alternator but that's the output rated at 6000 RPMs. The Hybrid DC to DC converter to charge the 12v battery puts out 150 amps but again, at higher RPMs than at idle. The proposed design will be for a maximum wattage inverter while the engine is at idle so as to not damage the system. The EB system is pretty much cut and dry, just need the numbers. The Hybrid system will be a little more complexed to go beyond the 400 amp OEM inverter.
So here's what we need:
1. Output of both Hybrid and EB charging systems while @ idle.
(hoping to get 3-4 readings for each model to establish an average amperage)
2. Size of the OEM 12v battery in the 2.0 EB models (specs. & photo welcome)
(we have the info for the Hybrid battery thanks to members on the forum)
Thanks in advanced!
Any updates on this? I’m also wondering how hard it would be to install an inverter in the cab for those of us who didn’t buy a mav that comes with one. Are they prewired for easy DIY?I mentioned on another thread on this form that I am working on a system design for both the EB and the Hybrid models for the maximum size inverter based on utilizing stock equipment in both models. Without using the alternator the battery on a 2.0L eco boost is 70AH * 12V or 840 Watts. That is the max continuous wattage you can run in the extreme case. If you go by the RC rating of 120 minutes that is about 50 amps so the low end is 600 watts continuous. The fuse for the inverter in the fuse box is rated at 60 amps so the actual max using the factory specs is 720 or realistically a 700 watt invertor is the largest you would run or a combo of 2 300 and 400 watt invertors.Hybrid battery:

Did you get your parts locally or online?I added a 12v and 110v outlet in my Maverick XL. I used a Ram 1500 400w inverter with Nissan Titan bed outlet. I didn't want to use a aftermarket inverter as they can be loud compared to oem inverters. Unfortunately my truck did not have the factory inverter harness so I ended up making my own. I mounted the inverter behind the rear seat. The 12v outlet is wired to the harness that's already in the bed.
Parts used
Ram Truck inverter 400w
Bed outlet harness 253A0-7S200
110v power outlet 253A47S200

Maybe this is addressed in a different thread, I'm still quite new here as I bought my Maverick just under a week ago. But how did you access the electrical cubby through the bed liner? I'm assuming you have to cut it? But not sure and don't want to make a mess of itI added a 12v and 110v outlet in my Maverick XL. I used a Ram 1500 400w inverter with Nissan Titan bed outlet. Yes, you'll have to remove the cover, and cut to fit.Maybe this is addressed in a different thread, I'm still quite new here as I bought my Maverick just under a week ago. I haven't got mine yet but other threads put it under the middle consol. Others have added the 110 outlet in the bed. The inverter isn't needed for the bed light. You can pick up 12v from various sources such as the two DIY power points in the backDo we have any confirmation of where the 400W inverter is located on an XL? And if it can be utilized to get the OEM Bed 110 and LED light from the XLT Lux installed?
