the trick was to drill corner holes in the cubby using the template, then using a metal ruler lined up on the holes I cut into the plastic and just kept cutting and cutting into the grove till I cut all the way through.. the hole for the light switch was cut the same way except I didn't need to drill any corner holes..

another quicker method is to use a soldering iron tip to melt cut the plastic, but that can end up messier.. I went with the more patient elbow grease and box cutter method..
Or use a multi-tool - cut plastic really easily - just go slow and follow your lines as he says!

Thanks yds for leading the way on this project — I was planning to do the same and you saved me some time!

I designed a 3D-printed mount that recesses the bed light switch, helping protect it from damage during loading and unloading.

I find the switch relocation to be much easier to use. Feels better than factory!

This print fit perfect for me, but all printers and materials are a bit different. Quick tip: If you need to make any adjustments, I use a torch and razor knife. Heat the knife with the torch and use it to melt/move the plastic a little bit as needed.

Wow, that looks good. I think your latch is tight like mine was. I should loosen it up in the print for future people.

Great looking lights!
